What's the rest of the world going to think about this when the Olympics are on this time next year? Errr, Cancel our booking, we're boycotting these games due to London being destroyed by a load of drunken yobs??

Oh, hang on, the only people coming here next year will be the Chinese, everyone else will be skint thanks to the United States government & can't afford to come here due to oil being too expensive! :p

As for the looters - do what Stalin did during WWII when Moscow was looted in late November 1942 due to a partial evacuation & central Moscow was looted. Stalin changed his mind, people stayed in Moscow & the looters were rounded up & SHOT!

Boris should do the same if parliament reversed the death penalty the other day. ;)

Why would the BBC be anti-police? There both statist entities?

The BBC however must be impartial, by order of goverment.

I'd thought BBC was for the police, watching sky now but it's laggy.
 
monday evening, where are these peoples parents?!! seriously!

reading up on this in todays telegraph, the population of tottenham is over 50% white, only a 1/4 afro-carribean so please tell me why some people are calling others racist for stating pure fact, this is a black culture that started this, they have not done themselves any favours whatsoever.

the police need to step this up and realise that the instruction of ignoring the looting, just deal with the violence is not the attitude, these people have the mindset of young children ie 'if i do this and don't get told off for doing it, i will continue to do it, even though i know it is wrong'. get the artlillery out and start making examples. there all cowards these looters, every last one of them. they'd be crying on camera as soon as they got caught, begging for leniancy because 'we don't understand them'. yes we do, it's people like you who are ruining this country.

oh and the 'innocent 16 yr old girl' who spurred all this had chucked a stone at the police, this is not confirmed but it happened of course.

Bringing in the BNP or EDL would be pointless, they will use this as ammo for any political gain after it has all died down!

If the EDL and BNP did involve themselves it would look worse on them ;)

If you think the BBC aren't biased then you're pretty naive and you should do some research.

They are left wing, liberals and take a MASSIVE chunk of their news broadcasting influence from The Guardian, among other sources.

There are of course going to be injuries when things like tear gas, water cannons an projectiles are used... even just heavy hand Police baton usage.

At the end of the day though, if you are going to attend a riot you've already exposed yourself to that risk. Just like Duggan who was carrying a gun.

Yup, well said. As one of the major world power, it is an embarrassment to have such poor law and order.

I hope the government sorts this out.
