You are wrong of course. There Bonsai that cannot grow outside due to the species as our climate would not allow them to survive the frosts etc. Just like lots of houseplants and greenhouse plants that would not survive our winters
 
I really want to have a bonsai tree, even the sound of how challenging it is to keep alive intrigues me.

then that tree isn't for this country, its nothing to do with where it is :p
 
i had a similar bonsai to yours and it died in a few weeks, then i bought another one and it died as well :( dont know what i was doing wrong as i was following the instructions found on the internet.

There are lots of plants that people have that are not native to the UK. They need to be 'treeted' :D differently to our native plants. Thus, some trees that people try to 'bonsai' indoors, cannot survive outside in our winters. Simples
 
I was thinking of questioning how you came to be in possesion of this tree then noticed your location wasn't London or anywhere else involved in the current chaos... yet...
 


This is one of mine. Needs quita a bit of pruning which i will be doing soon. Plus the pot needs sorting too. Been so busy i haven't touched my bonsai
