looting debenhams now...... some good items in there.... my god this isn't stopping is it
and JD Sports, there wont be any chav sportwear left in the whole of London soon!

Woman on the phone hasn't seen a copper in the area for over an hour either....you get the impression they are really hoping this just goes away on it's own eventually because they don't seem to have anything like the numbers required to handle this.

TBH there is a whole generation who are realising quite how screwed they have been over the last couple of decades by the 'pay it later' short-termist baby boomers, they have been promised, through politicians, the media and the fatcats that if they work hard, they too can share in all the success, except that for the youth entering the work force these days there are 50 people are competing for every job, commodities of all descriptions are running low due to rampant short-termism, housing is unaffordable to all but the privileged few, education is massively more expensive, all to pay for the idiot older generation who now refuse to compromise on their unfunded benefits and enjoy their retirement off the backs of the young people they have left completely in the crap to pay for it all, and on top of it all apparently woefully unprepared by parents and the state for the situation they find themselves in.

That said, I doubt many of these retards rioting understand or even know about any of the above, or even why they are doing it, but my suspicions are that when you have such a negative climate of unfairness and resentment building up then those least capable of expressing or understanding it are more likely to rage out in the form of civil unrest.

Well good for you, unfortunately in the real world you can't say "look, 0.1% of inner city comp pupils succeed at life, therefore the system is working perfectly".

You cant force people that don't want to learn to actually learn, the system is a lot better than it has ever been, maybe we should start open borstal up again and send them to war zones.

The majority of people who graduate from London comprehensive schools get by just fine.

A higher proportion of the secondary school pupils in the capital achieved five A*-C grades, including English and maths, than anywhere else in England this year.

David Cameron "I am granting the Metopolitan Polce emergency powers to use Water Cannons, Rubber bullets and Tear gas to take back control of our streets from these ponsing parasites biting the hand that feeds them. In addition I am deploying the Britsh Army as a visible presence to provide the authority that is so very lacking"..............if Carlsberg did Prime Ministers

It has reached Ealing, where the highstreet has been closed of, Nando's burnt out.

It reached Slough today with the JD sports broken into, and the UK's largest Tesco being closed.

At the end of the day, life is hard for many of the young men and women out here. I am not, and I repeat, I AM NOT claiming that this is a full gone justification for what they have done, but it is a little bit of a reasoning as to why they have taken to the streets in the first place. They are not happy and saying that they have had just the same opportunities as yourself or even me is wrong.

They took the streets because they are dim criminals who think its fun to steal stuff and trash things.

Thats pretty much it, in a nutshell. You are not trashing things because you are brighter than they are.

2009.

London is very big. He specifically said inner-London.

Some of the suburban comprehensives are some of the best in the country. With caption areas you can guess what the houses in those places cost.

in fact in the article

But the figures masked a divide between wealthier and poorer areas. Inner London boroughs lagged behind the national GCSE average, while outer London schools soared ahead
