i don't get why they haven't broken out the teargas rounds yet, i mean it's been done before on mainland Britain, granted not since the 80's, but, the precedents been set so use the damn things allready.

That's my view too. If the police had cracked down hard to start with then it would have stopped others thinking they could just loot what they wanted to.

Rubber bullets and water cannon are what's needed. About time the authorities took the kid gloves off and showed who's really boss.
Watch 'em slink back off to their drug filled grief holes pretty quick then.

These people are not rioting by definition as they are not protesting anything.

They are just groups of separate individuals stealing and causing havoc because they have realised that they can steal more things by working in a pack.. this must be harder to resolve as there is no real cause of the aggression.

Right now they can get away with anything.
The Police can't be everywhere.

The only way this is going to stop is to make an immediate example of prison sentence or such you will get for this. Otherwise bring in the Army, but then how long can you have them on the Streets without turning this into what's happened in Northern Ireland?
