Their is absolutely no way the army is going to be involved.....just not going to happen. The police haven't even started getting serious yet - they're still just considering using more armored vehicles. They're probably afraid of being seen as overreacting and making a bad situation worse......if a rioter was killed for example. They're going to have to get tough soon though.

However, you think things are bad now? Try having our own army shooting at our own people, broadcast around the world. Not. Going. To. Happen.

EDIT TO ADD: It's kind of surreal for me being 4,000 miles away from all this......seeing images of places I know being trashed. Makes me feel helpless...not that there's anything I could really do anyway. You lot take care, OK? :(

I personally think the Army should be called but I don't think they will. They'll be too afraid that it shows to the world that law and order has totally broken down in the capital of the UK.

Cameron has to make some drastic decisions tomorrow. This cannot go on for any longer.

If Cameron doesn't get things right tomorrow, he'll be out of a job by 1st September.

He seen some youths in a milk float firing fireworks at buildings and triangles being sprayed with cameron name in them.

"0323: Catherine Holmes, resident in Hackney writes: The common feeling in Hackney Central is that our community has been hurt and damaged by causeless violence. We spoke to looters trying to get home, the only explanation they gave for their behaviour was that they had no money today. It is sad to think that these people are thinking of only the next moment, and the moment they have created is a nightmare. As we watch them now moving on in small pockets, we hope that our community will unite together this morning to react against these riots." - BBC News Live Updates

Why do people seem to think that bringing in the Army means guns and people being shot?

The Army would be brought in without guns, they would be used in riot control, deterrent and would be there to support the Police by increasing numbers. The Police would have the man power to start making arrests.

It's not going to be the wild west.
