When more people turn up to riot as a result of this, shoot them too.

For:

End of rioting
Seizing of belongings to pay for damage caused
Population control
Less spent on welfare
More housing available to those that need
Decrease in unemployment figures over night
Decrease in general crime against the person
Safer streets
Left wing loonies will cry tears of fail as their hooded chums are slayed

Against:

Might be a bit messy to clean up

They aren't misleading, they are honest. When talking about the need for reform (remember, the police budget increased by nearly 50% in real terms during Labour's time in power), what you claim is misleading is actually the key point. There are far too many officers ensconced in specialist roles or roles that do not require warranted officers at all, all contributing to the 'officer numbers' without contributing significantly to general policing.

I stopped reading there. This simply isn't true. You do need warranted officers here. They aren't on the phone when you dial 999 but they do detect and prevent crime.

Most warranted officers in purely office based jobs are almost always supervisors. This is a minority by far.

Also rioters don't deserve to be shot, they deserve a trial and face the consequences.

I think exercising restraint is difficult and the police should be applauded for it.
