Riots in Tottenham, London! (NO RACIST COMMENTS)

The Sky News Reporter outside Scotland Yard keeps saying they may use plastic bullets. I don't believe that's been confirmed anywhere or as to whether they have authorisation to do so?

It's also a bit different today.
It seems business in not just London, but all over the country are shutting up shop. This time yesterday things had already begun in Hackney, it doesn't appear that any large groups has amassed anywhere yet.

I would think maybe today it will be like late last night, where it's just small pockets trying to break in to places. I don't think we will see the scenes of yesterday afternoon in Hackney... but I could be wrong.

Seen a few messages on Facebook about the Bristol scum thinking of coming over to Bath tonight :eek: :eek: :(.

<Goes and runs backup tapes>

That said, what would it be? Come have a riot and then go home on the train? :p

They are able to use them, however it would be pointless.

That's the only solution I think. Looters are strong because they're in pack. If all people who live or work above the shops started vigil in front of their buildings right now, by the evening the looters would realise they are tiny, tiny, ****up minority. Don't wait for police to pussyfoot around looters - be your own batman tonight, defend square mile of your home/office.

Yeah, I think that's what they seem to be doing here in Holloway, they've most all shut up and are hanging around out front of their properties.

I also noticed a lack of the kind of young people that would be usually hanging around. Whether that's because the message has got through to parents and the really young ones are at home, or whether the troublemaker types are still in bed I don't know. But it was defiantly strange seeing so few hoodies hanging about.
