Yeah sure, I agree, he is clearly not a huge loss to society, but the Police have to show that they respect proper procedure if they want the backing of the populace.

If the shooting is wrongful, he should be punished not given a medal.

Yes I do agree if we're being serious of course. But people should give the police the benefit of the doubt until the facts are known, whereas many seem to be assuming guilt.

Confirmed now that the bullet in the police radio was police issue, and Mark Duggan's gun (which did have ammo in it) was unfired. No one knows the exact circumstances yet. But yeh, he was a drug dealer with a gun that had live ammo. Who gives a ****.

No, apparently it has been established that the copper who killed Duggan fired two shots, one in the chest which killed him, the other passed through his arm and into another copper's radio.

I don't, but neither do I know he was a threat. Reports in the media are inconclusive, which in itself doesn't look good for the police.

The Met police are over-stretched, poorly equipped, trained and led. Their morale right now is at rock bottom levels. It's not hard to imagine that in that environment mistakes can be made.
