.Anyway.

Etoo to anzhi gathering pace. obviously if inter do this deal for 39 mill it makes them less likely to be forced to sell sneijder to raise some cash - but they will lose their top scorer who you would have thought will need to.be replaced.

PSG want gilardino for 13 mill and they might sell melvut and haorau to finance the deal including wages for gil.

That hoarau looked very useful in the emirates cup tall fast and alright with his feet. i could see him getting into the premiership but maybe the 17 mill fee will put the clubs who.might want him off...

I know it's the Mirror but lets get excited anyway :D

Wesley Sneijder will thrash out his future over the next 48 hours, after his move to Manchester United took a major step closer on Tuesday.

The Dutch winger was hoping to hold formal talks with the Premier League club in London on Thursday, following his country’s friendly international with England at Wembley.

But the riot-induced postponement of the fixture has moved that process forward, and now the 27-year-old will speak with his club, Inter Milan, on Wednesday to seek permission to begin negotiations in earnest.

Sneijder hinted this week that informal talks have already begun over the transfer, with the two clubs close to arriving at a fee somewhere in the region of £32million.

His representatives will be in Milan on Wednesday, hoping to speed up the process, which would allow the player to fly into England to thrash out the terms of a near £200,000 a week contract.

Inter now accept Sneijder wants to leave, and they are also close to finding an accommodation with United - the two clubs have explored a possible price over the past few weeks through a third party.

The Dutch star has a tax-free deal in Italy equating to around £250,000 a week, so with United’s wage structure topping out at around £180,000 a week there is still some way to go.

The Old Trafford club, though, have sweeteners to add to any deal.

Their worldwide popularity greatly enhances the image rights-related package they can offer to prospective signings.

Sneijder also has a personal sponsorship deal with Nike - who are United’s main clothing sponsor - and there are suggestions the US sportswear giants could also enhance the deal to ensure the arrival of one of their big-name players at their biggest club.

20mil a year for Eto'o is bat**** crazy though, even for them. What is that, assuming and hoping to god thats pretax, thats circa 400k a week, though saying that I have no idea what tax would be like over there, would he end up with a ridiculous amount of that still after tax?

I know of etoo's history. Russia is a very racist place i know its money but still, there's even things i wouldn't do if i was rich enough. Also moratti said that buying etoo was the best bit of business.he ever did. (probably swindling barca helped for ibras fee)..

Roberto Carlos is there isn't he, and he's been pretty angry at the racism he's had to deal with, but end of the day, 20mil for a few years, you're on the pitch, the people there will be yelling racist things if he's there or not. In a way, the more black people that play for a team you'd think it would slowly help to combat racism.

Meh, football fans in some places are just thugs, Seedorf still gets racist abuse in Italy doesn't he, after god knows how long he's been a legend for his team.

I've never understood how a guy can cheer when someone like Seedorf scores for them, then hurl racist abuse at him minutes later.

Its not like Eto'o won't be getting quite a bit of racial abuse in Italy as it is.

Any updates on Arsenal? Ryo Miyachi has been granted a work permit. He looked pretty good too but another youngster who is only going to get the odd game or cup run.

Impossible to know isn't it, Wenger's a complete idiot. Cesc was young but basically got in the team and never left, Theo joined and barely played for a couple years, now he's first team whenever fit no matter if he's playing like absolute crap.

Ryo seems, I haven't seen enough to say he's just about at Wilshire level, as in more than good enough to play first team games and have his chance, but theres been hints he's approaching that level in terms of being ready for first team.

But the question is, will Wenger play him and never drop him, or will he, like Vela, see he's brilliant in preseason and give him 3 games a season in the cup. Theres seemingly absolutely no logic in the way Wenger chooses these things, there was no reason Wilshire wasn't starting a full year before he eventually did, no reason Traore should still wear an Arsenal shirt.

Basically he could be brilliant the few times we see him and Wenger won't give him a real chance, or he could be crap, and start 38 games for us this year.

Bebe has seemingly been ruled out for 6 months with a ligament injury and will be returning to the club.

Shame, some first team football would have done the kid some good. Hopefully recovers soon.
