Chinchilla

Don't get a Chinchilla unless you are willing to commit to them long term, these little guys/girls can live well past twenty years old and its cruel to get rid of them just because the cuteness has warn off ! If you do get one never buy from a pet shop, get one from a local well established breeder, not only will the chinchilla be cheaper but a lot healthier. I wont get started on possible dental vet bills!

Rats. Definitely rats. Awesome pets.

I used to keep geckos too but they require a lot of attention and live food. Very rewarding though.

get a goldfish. cockatiels/parrots are the most annoying animals in the world.

You could get a chav. Some of them are furry however very few are cute. The bonus is that the state will pay to clothe and feed them and will take care of any vet bills. They can be trained to **** in a toilet and as soon as they hit puberty they try to breed - you could sell a litter of chavs as pets or as sausage meat.
Or an asylum seeker, they will even give you a nice house to keep it in

hahah

My vote would be rabbit or guinnee pig.

My find keeps a goat in his garden:confused:

I really want a goat. A little pygmy one. They're really sweet, love to play, easy(ish) to look after and no more expensive than a dog. Very noisy though and tend to bleat when they're alone. They hate being alone, so you'd have to get two.

Not sure Sid would like one.

I would definitely recommend rats. They are very intelligent and friendly, much more so than cavies, rabbits etc.

I have owned five, first two I had were Eddy and Bruce and when they died I got another three rufus, otis and colin. They were all different with their own personalities.

There are downsides however. They are prone to chest and resporitry problems usually caused by bad hygene, incorrect bedding, smoking around them and bad breading practices. Also they only have a life span around two years so it can be painful to lose pets so regularly. This is the reason I have given up keeping them.

Get a house rabbit. Mine lived to be 10! It was amaaazing. He'd sit on your lap and watch TV like a cat, let you know when he needed to stretch his legs outside and never bit anyone. He also went crazy for mint chocolate ice cream (no other flavours). It made him I'll and we never purposefully gave it to him, but he had a talent for hunting it out.
