also, i just had a read of the negative income tax thing and i thing its an amazing idea. scrap all taxes except for negative income tax (and whatever is needed for exporting, i have no idea about that), get a lot more people working in the fraud department and your sorted.

also, give some support to those who are genuinely trying to find some sort of a job but cant.
main thing would be, anyone who wants to sit on their bum sponging off the government gets bugger all

obviously there will be some small details that i have forgotten about (disabled people, pensions, etc), but that cant be too difficult to sort out

Sure I am a looney left mentalist that voted for Thatcher and has voted for conservative every time since. Humanitarian and Seeing loopholes you cannot see doesn't make me stupid, far from it.

Like the film says, you are conditioned to worship money, so I will never convince you, time will tell who is right :)

If that leisure means you can sit under a tree and relax, sure you can not work, if you want to do other things like attend movies and sports events, theatre and have access to personal entertainment such as video games or labour saving devices, your likely gonna have to work or contribute to the community.

Some people will find reward in personal fulfillment and achievemnt once they no longer have to work for money.

Anyway, like I say, not gonna try and convince you, it is my opinion even if you don't like or agree with it (see below).
 
I find it annoying, as do many others here and the general public, that so many of these chav scum are being let off the hook and not going to prison as they should be, and the only real reason I can see is because the prisons are full. Quite predictable really. So much for Cameron's tough measures. However, I have heard today that many will lose their council homes, so that's good. Of course, that might also be lies.

How will this work though, Who would know that you did any work and hadn’t simply spent the whole year laid on your ass in bed ?

I personally love social models and theory, they are quite linked to Architectural thinking and even building design. But you must also realise that many remain just that, models. They are theory that in practice would be simply impossible to implement.

Yes. They shouldn't be allowed to print (literally or electronically) more money than there are resources to back it up. To do so just devalues existing money. Yet they do this all the time and in recent years it has gone into overdrive, with negative real interest rates meaning savers get screwed over and stolen from. Inflation is an insidious, hidden TAX.
