Local pet shop has a 24 hour guaratnee on gold fish.
my mum won a goldfish from a fare once. the damn thing outgrew three tanks before we had to give it to a friend of ours with a pond.

Yeah I made my dad win two gold fish at one of those family fun day things.

Out-lived 6 other shop bought fish, two dogs, two hamsters and about 3 cats (not including the litters two of said cats had).

They didn't get very big, but one of them turned white :/

I had fish too but never understood the point of them in the end.

For me you gotta be able to pick your pet up, take it for a walk or a fly (!) and teach it to do things and also marvel at how amusing it is when it does /anything/

Yeah, anyone can have kids but god help them if they buy the wrong pet. Personally i disagree with the whole concept, (kids and pets), but when a dog has the same eco-footprint as a family saloon it's becoming increasingly selfish of people to own them.

You could get a chav. Some of them are furry however very few are cute. The bonus is that the state will pay to clothe and feed them and will take care of any vet bills. They can be trained to **** in a toilet and as soon as they hit puberty they try to breed - you could sell a litter of chavs as pets or as sausage meat.

The trouble is, they will end up nicking your possessions, drinking your alcohol, torching your car & being a menace to Society in general. :p

Goldfish should live 25 years if properly looked after, not that they ever are.

did u call the fish that turned white micheal? :D

Ive had fish in the past and there ok, but I really want something i can pet and play with, and also have them wonder around the house :). I like it a lot when a animal comes and says hi :).

think ill readup more about rats and guinnee pigs, But Im not too keen on rats cos of there reputation, and also if they chew on things thats not good either :x. same with bunnies and cables, as we got cables all over the place here :/

thanks for the cute pet pics people :D
