Yes I will wait till the beta, but this is the game I want. If my set up can't max it at 1920x1200, I will need to upgrade those things, about £800 worth of upgrades!

Your i7 is as good as any Sandybridge setup!

If it doesn't perform well then all you will need to upgrade is your 5870

Doubt it, at most maybe a gpu but no way the whole thing.

Theres absolutely nothing wrong with your current mobo, cpu and ram, if anything an 17 is still major overkill for games. See how your current gpu fairs in the beta, then if needed, upgrade the gpu alone.

Bit crap if im honest, the Journey to Battlefield 3 should really have shown all the PC games, instead of going from 2 to 3, 1942 to 3 would have been a lot more interesting.

Well 1942 was the first in the series (and arguably the best considering the mods it spawned), and BF2 was the sequel to that. Makes no sense that its excluded in this.

I will, its literally just a bf2 trailer and some gameplay of bf3 slapped together with dramatic music and some text. Bugger all special about it nomatter how you look at it.

Not really, i can just see where people put time and effort into a vid as opposed to slapping 2 trailers together and changing the music with some text lobbed in.
