Riots in Tottenham, London! (NO RACIST COMMENTS)

It is a fact that for several thousand years Europe has been largely a multicultural place, throughout Europe there have been communities of people from differing cultures in most European countries and cities since before the fall of the Roman Empire. Much depends on your identification of what decides someone's culture and the mistaken idea that it is predicated by someone's skin colour.

The contemporary issue is to do with mass immigration outpacing the ability of countries to assimilate and/or integrate these immigrant populations. This is a political and not necessarily a cultural problem.
No it isnøt a fact and you know it because you know that we didnøt have the transport technology to do it. There has never been a time where Indians, Kenyans, Muslims, Christians, Sikhs and Hindus have lived in the same neighbourhood until transport technology allowed the possibility for that to happen.

What you are saying is like me saying 'Oh yeah the entire world has always been multicultural so there is no problem'. Well yes I suppose India, China, South America and Scandinavia all did have different cultures 500 years ago, but to say that is 'multiculturalism' is ridiculous.

I wonder where you will swan off on holiday when every city on the planet is 'multicultural' and therefore exactly the same. Sort of defeats the point doesnt it

I often wonder what tourists must think when they visit London expecting to see at least 1 or 2 classic Englishmen and instead they don't even see any white people. Tbh some of them are probably in dismay

Personally I'll still go to the cities I want to see, multicultural doesn't mean that it's all the same - cities will still have their own culture and unique feel to them regardless, they'll just incorporate more and more influences. Or let's put this another way - Glasgow and Edinburgh, two cities in the central belt of Scotland, split up by a difference of around 50 miles but the cultures are pretty different, if they were monocultural (which is what you appear to be advocating) then they'd surely be pretty much the same in feel and they are distinctly not.

What's a classic Englishman? Bowler hat, pin stripe suit and umbrella - the archetypal city gent? Or a proper Cockney geezer? Or something else entirely?

Whichever the answer is, if people are coming to London purely to see classic Englishness then they've obviously not quite come to terms with the fact that London is now a global city and as such has people from a vast array of countries in it and is richer for it. If you want to see typical Cockney market stalls then you can do that, you might have to search a little bit harder but it's perfectly possible, same for seeing city gents in pin stripes and carrying umbrellas.

I have been following the riots carefully. So far I've not seen one single asian person rioting. I've seen only white kids and black kids, what's your point?

Oh well it will be fantastic then to visit other capital cities after they become a copy cat 'global' city like London. Will sort of defeat the point of visiting them really.

Would you accept that San Francisco is a global city as well with lots of different cultures in it? I was on holiday there about a month back and it's absolutely nothing like London in feel. It was amazing but wildly different to London or indeed anywhere else I've ever been so unless it's dramatically changed in the past few weeks I can't imagine it would be easy to mistake it for another city.

I don't live in London but every time I have been there doing typical tourist stuff I have seen many white people. Do you honestly think tourists are going to be going to the predominantly ethnic areas of London sight seeing? Or is the above statement a bit of an exaggeration?

Yeah thats it. Whenever a nutcase leftist gets met with the truth just shout 'racism' or 'troll'.

And you said I was the one that apparently just threw insults.

Let's analyse, in all the posts that you have made, you either have been openly aggressive to others who disagreed with you, refuse to make any form of analysis and just throw propaganda messages.

On top of that you are clearly only looking to provoke, ignoring all the points made in reply to your posts. So yes, you are a troll, no insult, it is what you are. But, if you prefer, we can call you a subterranean butterfly.
