****The Official Samsung Galaxy S II Thread***

Yup, and im still mildly hopeful that it will be handed in. Thanks for the kind words. :)

sadly people are not as descent as they used to be and with ebay it so easy to shift stuff :( hope it does turn up

That's bad news man :/ I'd run away never to return if I lost my phone!*

yeah i would be well gutted, i cant claim for another month, as i can only do 2 a year and did that with my desire and my wife's phone... need to keep it safe until the 16th of sep!

Slighlty out of focus as the SGS2 camera can do much better but here is a sample of a panormoa mode shot i took today,

I have a strange problem with my phone. every time I open my browser it closes itself within a couple of seconds. at first I thought it may just be the built in browser, so I downloaded dolphin HD browser and within a few hours that's doing the same thing!

unsure what to do I've spent far too much time customizing my phone to go and hard reset! I'm also on the latest firmware.

I live in Switzerland, and the last two phones and wallets I lost turned up within a few days at the local lost & found place. It ain't the UK. :D

However the event last weekend was Street Parade, (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Street_Parade) so lots of foreigners from Eastern Europe etc... chances of getting things back are reduced a fair bit.

Any recommendations which is the best rom to use as there are so many out, just after something fast and with decent battery life, well as good as you can expect from a modern phone.

I'm using Lite-Pro v1.5. He's up to about v5 now, but battery life doesn't match 1.5 so I've stayed put. Even on a heavy day (for me) I can go 25 hours without charge.

I've put the stock rom back on, I did have lite'ning on but my battery life was shocking.

Which version?

Did you calibrate the batter after installing Lite'ning ROM? I am in the process of doing that now as my battery life was pretty poor after installing it from stock, so I will let you know how mine works out :)

Hiyahh!

I'm just popping in to say that I am now using Cognition 1.40 :D It.Is.Awesome.

Got fed up with Lite'nin (whatever) after it feeling slow and hating the look of things.

Cognition looks much nicer, revolving around standard I guess!

Got all the wee fixes and tweaks I wanted too, volume down as camera shot, notifications light... super happy!

I was starting to get fed up with ROM's for this as I could never find what I wanted :)

villain rom seems quite popular, im using cm7 which is still in the beta stage, however very stable just missing some features, once the final version comes it will be the daddy like on other phones

VillainROM is a big step down from GingerVillain on my desire.

I'm using Lite'ning until CM7 final is released.

It's the ROM most others end up based on, butchered with extra bloatware and out of date CM7 versions of add ons and core revisions.

Quick question, is there a way to make the contact icon bigger/full screen when making or receiving a call? Dare I say it - like the iphone does.
