Man City will only be kicked out of europe as top punishment but then I'm sure the FA will have to follow suit as they are spineless monkeys and will then punish them further but, seriously would they be that stupid to actually break the rules? They can claim they did not know the full extent of the rules as they never set any in stone, it is a judgement call really.

Nasri to City tomorrow for £25m. Bite their hand off.
You know when you're a kid and after every Christmas you'd have to phone up your family members to thank them for all the presents they got you?

No wonder Arsene never signs anyone. He's too busy phoning City to do anything else.

So is Nasri's move expected to go through tomorrow? If the money is spent on anything less than a strong CB and a creative central player I'll be very disappointed in Wenger. We desperately need a left back as well but I think that's asking too much from him.

Do Man City really need Nasri, or is it just another player they are buying for the sake of it? :/

I don't see how he'll fit in. He doesn't excel on the wing and he doesn't excel in the centre, he doesn't offer anything that they haven't already got. They have the creativity with Johnson, Silva and Aguero, they have the power with Toure and De Jong and then they've got the solid squad players like Milner and Barry. He's a total waste of money for them in my opinion.

David Silva is approximately 3.5 times better than Samir Nasri. Adam Johnson is probably about 1.5 times better. City appear to just be buying for the sake of stopping Man Utd now.

If someone would be so kind as to get Ferguson to register an "interest" in Manuel Almunia, that would be much obliged. :)

I still don't understand why Almunia hasn't been sold yet. That either suggests that nobody wants him, or we haven't "advertised" him. It looks like even Mannone is above him in the pecking order now, I do feel a bit sorry for him but I guess it's because he has a bit of a sad face. :(

Of course they don't need him. He is very similar to Silva (but not as good) so I can't see him starting many games unless Mancini is planning to change tactics and drop one out of De Jong, Toure and Milner/Barry.

Man City's typical transfer policy is sign either a) flavours of the month or b) anyone targeted by United. Nasri can only be going there for the money because surely he recognises he would be a key man for United? After this saga I don't want him though. Thought he was a **** before, then he gained some of my respect when he didn't agitate for a move despite all the speculation and then he lost it all when he did.

This may be me being biased but

Nasri at City = meh
Nasri at United = drool

Just can't see Nasri being anything other than bit part player at City in the same way Johnson & Milner are whereas at United he'd be played week in week out and centrally. Looks like we've admitted defeat in this one though

Nasri's wage at Man City is likely to be £200,000 per week + £5m net signing on fee. There are very few footballers worth stupid money, Nasri is not worth anything like that figure. If Messi went to City, what would they pay him.... £500k a week? More?

Probably. I'm not sure why he's getting that much money when there seems to be no competition for his signature as Arsenal won't entertain a bid from United. It's utterly insane and I really hope UEFA grow some balls and enforce the FFP rules.

Totally agree (if your "rating" isnt unfair to Silva / AJ lol) , does this mean Nasri is being bought for City's CC /FAC games , thats even more stupid lol

Admittedly both cant play every game - but they surely have to be first picks I would have thought (baring in mind that imo Silva is probably one of the best in his position in the league as a whole)

To be fair if Nasri goes for 25 million then the overall transfer dealings for Arsenal this summer look much better, a joint 65 million for Fab & Nasri is a fair price if you split it 50/15 million respectively :p
