****The Official Samsung Galaxy S II Thread***

using modaco vanilla rom based on kh1 firmware.

It is good and fast tbh. however i am not liking the new android market.

I think i will stick with this rom until cm7 is released.

the samsung firmwares are absolute crap

Does the vanilla modaco one have Samsung camera app though? I'm using default apps one.

Given the above replies I will keep my s2 I think. The scuffs are battle scars, proof that a superphone can survive in a modern world!

I might give it the rat look that the VW dub scene is so fond of too....okay maybe not that :p

Oh and I love the new Market Google have outed!

Anyone got issues with their GPS/ I can "see" loads of satellites using GPS Statue but it never "fixes" on any :(

Using lite'ning 5 and 6.1.

Has anyone tried the latest release of Lite'ning Rom, which is now up to v6.1 on XXKH3 ?

I am very tepted to give it a try, as it an easy 'no-wipe' single file flash.

It can be found at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1095274 and has to be better than the stock Vodafone KG1/KG2 surely!

ah only just got round to putting 5.0 on yesterday lol, should have looked if it had been updated

Installed Modaco earlier (the one released today, GR5), and started customising. Restarted the phone and it's stuck on the boot screen (the one with the yellow triangle. Been stuck there for a good 10 minutes now. :(

This camera is fricking amazing! Got a mad beading photo from my car this morning:

Wow, very nice. Glad to see mobile cameras are getting better. I had high hopes for the 5mp camera on my Sony Ericsson C902 but it was absolutely useless.

Got any other examples?

Guys I had updated to Lightning 6.0 but it never turned off, just came back on again 2 seconds later after appearing to turn off. Gonna try Cognition then 6.1 if its not good.

edit - still happening in a different rom, any ideas?

edit edit - reseated battery - powering off proper now
