What film did you watch last night?

Source code. - Quite good 8/10 more predictable than a stick but ....

I saw your highness too and was surprised by the lack of dumb gags, there were plenty but they seemed almost too thinly spread. Not at all what i was hoping for. Still amusing for the douche bag style.

Underworld - 8/10. One of my favourite vampire movies. :)

Underworld: Evolution - 5/10. Haven't seen it before, but it's pretty average.

Tonight, Underworld: Rise of the Lycans. Will see how that goes.

True Grit - wasn't expecting much given the Coen Brothers history of pretentious rubbish but I was pleasently suprised, an excellent film although it could have done without Jeff Bridges's speaking with a mouthful of cotton wool. 8/10

the Coen Brothers history of pretentious rubbish

GTFO.

In other news...

Watched Gnomeo and Juliet with my daughter yesterday. It wasn't great, but it was OK as kids films go, given that most are utter garbage. Anyway, she loved it, so that's the main thing.

The guy who did the score was called Chris P. Bacon. Amazing.

I thought Rec 2 was a bit of a let down with the turn it took, but I know others liked it. Plus annoying characters and silly things that made me cringe

Went to watch Super 8, thoroughly enjoyed it (although the cinema was VERY loud). 9/10

Also watched The Green Butchers, Danish black comedy, some good laughs and made a nice change from the mainstream kind of film. 8/10

Touched a nerve? :p

They've got the odd decent film but they've got to be to most overated pair in filmmaking.

Heh, I'm just kidding. I like the Coens, but I can well believe some don't. It just seems a bit like wandering into motors and throwing in a dig at BMW, like you know someone is going to snap back at you ;)

Just finished watching Public Enemies (2009).

Not a bad film....Johnny Depp & Christian Bale are really good actors.

a lot of action and some of the shootout scenes reminded me of H.E.A.T...then again it is a Michael Mann film.

7.5/10

Fast Five.

Was alright. It was a bit OTT though so for me it's just a 6/10.

Kind of the point, no?

I also watched it last night. Was quite fun, not as good as the earlier ones in the franchise. I'm not sure I agree with this new direction they are taking, moving away from car chases into more heist/action films.
Switch off the brain type of film.
