good job I ordered from amazon just in case (assuming they send it lol).... still doubtful I'll get it from cpw due to the high order number but we will see lol
 
Misco is actually quite a big outfit. You can bet bottom dollar the stock they had went to those customers calling their account managers / business lines.
 
I assume the refunds in the US are done by mail-in rebate? Something which is very rare in the UK, so I personally wouldn't hold out for a refund if you bought full price (partial refund I mean).
 
fgs:/ why are people such vultures, and misco didnt even give a chance, nearly 400 units shipped before they even lowered the price ? infact the didnt even show a lowered price like they promised on twitter. been searching since 8 o clock this morning to bag one but i feel like giving up now.

I have had a security check phone call and conf email for the first one i ordered from them.

i havent heard anything about the later one i ordered ( by mistake as i didnt think the first one has gone through)

I am hoping that means the 1st one will be on its way today and that i will get a cancellation email for the other.

my amazon is Dispatching Soon-Dispatch Estimate: 25 Aug 2011
Delivery Estimate: 30 Aug 2011 - 1 Sep 2011

Note I picked free delivery and I got my email confirmation (for 16gb) at 00.01 this morning :D

Put in a reservation for a touchstone and case (half price) at my local pcworld to pick up tomorrow... need the device first ideally lol

Debating on grabbing the keyboard too

Dixons have confirmed several times that they will be refunding the difference, but they're still working out the details.

I haven't heard of any other retailers saying they will do it.

read above - many will get bored quickly - you can then pick up an even better bargain :p
 
Argos are sold out, just tried to order one.
Email after the order completed saying instock.
"The following item(s) were not purchased
HP TouchPad WiFi - 32GB. 508/6050 Out of stock"
