Lack of Comet orders here, anyone heard anything yet?

Checked the tracking for my order on the web page and it says it's been picked and scheduled for delivery tomorrow.

Managed to extend my reservation at Argos until sat

argos are still listing them full price? there's an argos just down the road from me, is it worth a ring to see if they have them for the £100 price?

Just got a reply from CPQ.

Thank you for choosing to purchase your HP Touchpad at The Carphone Warehouse. We're writing to let you know that unfortunately due to high demand, there has been a slight delay in processing your order.

We will contact you as soon as possible to confirm your request has been completed, and to organise delivery for all successful orders. This may take up to a week for a small number of customers but we are working hard to minimise the delay.

We have not taken any money from your account, and will not do so unless we send you an order confirmation email.

We are extremely sorry for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your patience with this issue.

Not sure whether to be hopeful or not from this. Anyone else received similar from CPW?

@Trox - I got a phone call this afternoon from Comet saying they have a shipment coming from HP and will deliver on 5th September ( I ordered mine about 7.00 last night)

"Just had a phone call from Comet - They are getting a second delivery but its expected that they wont be in for 2 more weeks (5th of September). So does look like there are more of these floating about in HP's warehouse as well, so could be other stores mysteriously find themselves with more stock as well."

ahhh just got a text from CPW saying there is a delay due to large demand of up to a week. wonder how long until i get the order cancelled email got all excited they even gave me a tracking number and everything. on yodel website it lists it as Load Transfer Receipt. anyone know what this might mean?

Yes Argos are still listing them at full price. The way their reservation -> purchasing works is that you pay the price it costs on the day you go to collect it, not the price it was at on the day you reserved it. Reservations last only for 1 working day so if everyone can keep hold of their reservations for longer then we have a much more solid chance of getting one at a lower price, assuming Argos do eventually lower them of course.

If you haven't already reserved one then the chances of you find a store with some in stock are almost non-existant as everyone started reserving them from the weekend. Good luck though

I tried and tried this morning with the ones that were in stock for the lower price, but the websites just would not take me to the checkout.

I meant to check if their order from last night has had allocated stock, not to place a new order .

Can anyone with cancelled orders from CPW check their order status? I had ordered 2 units and received cancellation email followed by email saying processing order. The status of it is now "processed" and "your order should have arrived on Tuesday 23 August".
