i placed an order with comet last night but didn't get an email or order number of anything. lady from comet just rang me up and said they are having to re-enter everyones card details manually and we'll get the touchpads around 5th september. so if you put in an order with comet last night I think the chances are pretty high that you'll get one for the 5th :)

That's what I thought, could swear it didn't say that earlier when I rang and spoke to "Dave".

Also, now, on the EPP site, the option for TouchPad appears in the filter, and the price slider has been updated to go as low as £19 :)

Hmm, I haven't had a call. That is a good sign though!
 
How do you get hold of Argos staff to extend reservations on twitter? I put 'Argos' in the search field and get some hourly limit message. Could someone help please?

The bad thing for me is that my Dad paid for the Best Buy one which is definitely on its way, so as far as he's concerned that one is his, my one is the CPW one which is still not 100%. All this effort and i might not even get mine while my Dad lords it over me like the smug git he is :(

I'm a member and I got an email and text about the delay.

EDIT: but I also have a 36xx and a 48xx so it might have been for those.
 
I ordered one from amazon yesterday lunch time for full price thinking I would return if they didn't refund the difference.
Seeing that they did drop the price last night I just called them and they said only other sellers had reduced the price not amazon and that they would be making a decision on what they were doing with the price either tonight or tomorrow.
Is anyone else in this situation ?

32GB?

The 16GB was reduced. I have an Amazon fulfilled 16GB in my order history for £74 (less VAT amount)
