No sure if I've understood the problem correctly but have you tried a long press on text input box and select "input method"?

In that case I wonder what is using my battery. It just seems to drain so quickly on 3G browsing, outside that I think it doesn't last more than maybe 8-12 hours of hardly no use, with use it is about a third or half that.

Never fear, uninstall and reinstall are here!
Either it's some kinda bug or something else is screwing about with it.
And yes had gone thru all the usual method input changes, none of them worked.

Doesn't really make a difference tbh, the process won't be any different than if you were on a stock ROM and non-rooted.

Yeah, Lite'ning ROM is one of the few ROMs that uses Odin to flash, the same as stock firmware, unlike most others which require CWM Recovery to be installed.

I just used Lite'ning to root my phone, as it seemed easiest at the time :p.
 
Well, my manager has a Torch and has been umming and ahhing over what to upgrade to so I gave him a quick demo of my S2 and he was impressed, a lot!

Today he walked in with his new phone.


An iPhone.




Just kidding :p He got an S2 and got a skin case with it from Tesco which cost £10. It's actually quite good and not as sticky outy as the SLine case I had ages ago.

He seems to be very happy and was impressed with the performance of it more than anything else and I showed him Samsung Dive and so on.
 
So far i've converted 3 people from an iPhone to the Galaxy S2. :D Do i feel proud about this? Yes, yes i do. I feel like i've personally punched Steve Jobs in the crouch.

Same here.. wouldnt exactly say I've converted them but all 3 started out asking to look at my S2 and within a few weeks have ditched their iphones (though only one of them was on a 4).
Knowing Jobs is missing out on money, however insignificant, is a fine feeling!

Phone is stock on reboot, yellow triangle is there but its not changing at all.

Battery pull and reboot? I have no idea :)

Does anyone have a KF3 ROM and advanced power menu? I need the zip ASAP! I installed the wrong zip and now my phone wouldn't boot ...

I have tried the KG2 as my phone was using the KG2 kernel stock and now it won't boot at all, reflashed it again.

I have no idea where to find a stock kernel for my phone, and it wont boot at all :mad:

Wanted the advanced menu too? It is as if there is a force stopping some of us @.@ ...

Sadly, XDA seems to not be as quick with these things are they used to be. I've been waiting hours for this. All I want is either the KF3 version OR the stock KF3. I just want my phone back ...

I have no idea where to find a stock KG2 kernel, so my phone is just a paper weight for the time being.

Only wanted root and to try a different ROM :(
 
FFS.

I am doing everything correct, yet when it comes to rebooting, it gets the yellow triangle, and it doesn't boot into the device.

Anyone know how i am supposed to return to a stock-kernel and begin from scratch? Phone is unusable.
