Anyone know just how many Touchpads have actually been sold in the UK/worldwide?

We keep seeing certain numbers but here and there but no overall numbers. Would be embarrasing for Android if there are now more touchpads than Android tablets!:p

Same here, aside from the very occasional slowdown, it's just as quick as my iPad 2.

It eats embedded 1080p flash in the browser for breakfast. So smooth.

I know the App selection on this device is somewhat limited, but is there a Justin.tv app at all?

This alone would make it worth the £90 for me...

I wonder how good it would be if it had slightly better hardware, there are reports of WebOS running over twice as fast on the iPad 2. I personally think its the best OS out there, however now that its been effectively killed off I dont think it will ever reach its potential.

Really?!! Where are these reports? Some one has actually ported webOS to the iPad? Highly dubious

I havnt been keeping up with this thread for the last 10 hours (was moving too fast) but I have just noticed this morning Argos dropped their prices. Not sure if this is known already but thought i'd share

So I have a reservation with Argos which lastsfrom today until Saturday. Is it worth heading down for opening just in case or will they actually hold the stock? this is pretty much my last chance as i really want the pad for my trip to China next week.

I'm really confused trying to make sense of this CPW situation; there is a user on HUKD called 'simplex' who claims to be an employee of CPW and has been told that there an additional 900 units unsold - this seems completely bizarre but apparently once the backlog of orders gets sorted out tomorrow these additional units will go on-sale.

If this is true then why are people receiving cancellation emails if there is stock available? I call bull on the 900 additional units but hope backorders get sorted tomorrow! probably time for me to turn in, night guys and good luck tomorrow if you're still Touchpad-less!

I think that the people getting cancellations, CPW has had a problem taking the money. At least that's what happened to a few people on UKHD. For those who have had their orders cancelled, I would check with your card company!

I was watching this thread last night when someone said he just bought one at the "jungle" store. I couldn't figure out what he meant so I ended up losing the opportunity. When someone else made another comment it was too late, I placed an order for a 16gb one and received a confirmation email at 12:13 but it was already out of stock. When I called customer services they told me that they are out stock and they may or may not fulfill the order.

Some people have bought plenty of these for 89 quid and now selling them on eBee and the south American rainforest for 200 upwards. Understandable really, they are happy because they are making some profit but they are ruining it for the rest of us.. Anyway I was only gonna buy one for 89 quid and not a penny more.

These will sell good for now because they are hot products albeit discontinued, but in a few weeks PRICES WILL DROP EVERYWHERE, INEVITABLY, and lots of second hand deals will appear on ebee and similar places. So no disappointment here, I know I'll get one for peanuts if I want to.
