who on earth is going to pay £100 for a 5850 when gtx 470's are £135
People that don't want too high power consumption, don't have a 500W or above PSU or have a small case or HTPC that would only big enough to fit the Sapphire 5850 Extreme but not the GTX470? :p

A better question would be who would buy a GTX470 at £135, when the GTX480 was at £150? lol
Shame the price for the GTX480 has gone back up.

Pre-orders always arrive late, or atleast they do whenever I order anything.

For anyone wanting GTX480 performance, with much lower power consumption and noise levels (even within a SFF case), check this out:).

Gainward GeForce GTX 570 1280MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
(£199.99) £239.99

Is the GTX 480 still worth it at £170?

Looking to max out BF3, Metro 2033, etc at 1900x1050. Currently got 2600k/8gb/UD4/HX620 and just need a gfx.

Yes, but if you had pre-ordered exactly as advised by OCuK team, you would have had it for 205 which is absolutely fine.

Especially for a 1 year warrantied card.

But no, everyone wait to see what happens and hope it gets cheaper and then compain when the plan backfires

Whether or not my plan went **** up or not is irrelevant, I'm criticising current pricing because it's a rip off, £220 for a 2nd hand 570 is extortionate, as is £320 for the 580, these cards can be bought brand new with full warranty for just £20 more.

With current pricing of these refurbs oc'uk are shooting themselves in the foot, i'd be suprised if they shift any 570/580's at those prices.

i bought one :D @ £209. Doesn't seem a bad deal and you won't find a gtx 570 cheaper elsewhere if you're keeping to a strict budget.

Nice price drops today so ordered the GTX 480, couldn't resist for £159.98 as it's a great bargain! Cheers Gibbo & Overclockers! You've restored my faith in you!:D
