If Wenger is sacked I predict more big name players leaving, a manager merry go round, consistent 5/6th place finishes for years to come with the occasional 4th and an even longer period of obscurity. Tottenham basically! However the grass is always greener.

Sacking Wenger is suicide imo.

Yep more or less.

City have now spent £75mill+ in this transfer window with the signing of Nasri today...unbelievable amount of money they have spent since they got took over by the Arabs...would be poetic justice if Nasri broke his leg therefore couldnt play for City...wishful thinking:p

Nasri deal done and dusted...£24mill, signed a 4 yr contract for City...wages are in the region of £100k+ i guess, which is what he wanted originally from Arsenal.

Arsenal on the other hand want M'Vila and are willing to pay £22mill but dont think Rennes are in the mood for selling him....dont know much about the guy whether hes good or not but us being linked to players that dont want to be sold this late in the transfer window doesnt make any sense....again Wenger shooting Arsenal and himself in the foot for leaving it so late :/

QPR just sold Kasper Gorkss to Reading for a million, finally QPR are doing something about their team and hopefully will spend that million taking Puncheon of our hands... (mainly as we didn't really want Gorkss)

M'vila is apparently very good. Utd were strongly linked. I agree with Gilly on Nasri Modric as well. Think he's a bit of a fanny but I believe he'd have been ace in the middle for utd.

According to reports in South America, a deal for Coates has been agreed. I guess we might get some sort of announcement tonight.

Also it looks very likely that Aquilani will join Milan on loan, with reports saying that if he plays more than 25 games, Milan are obliged to buy him for 7m (not sure if that's euros or £'s). Even at £7m, if true that would be a bargain for Milan.

signed a 4 yr contract for City.../

Like this makes any difference today.. All that contracts do is protect the player from falling into a free transfer.

Players should be made to pay dearly if they break contracts early otherwise they're aren't worth the paper they are written on. It's hard for any team to build a consistent side when never knowing if key personnel are about to leave.

Anyone got any news Diarra? Thats was all certain last week and died of death :/

If he plays 40, you should chuck in the "A Hero Will Rise" banner.

:D

It could possibly work in our favour. If we are after him and we did offer £22,000,000 there's very little time left in the window, I'm sure the board at Rennes wouldn't want to lose out on such a sum.

K1LL, where's this optimism come from?

Arsenal have to buy players surely, I mean it's unthinkable that they can go in to this season with the team they have with the amount of money now in the kitty? The team that played Liverpool was the worst Arsenal team I can remember.

Once the 'nice style' of football runs out, what will arsenal have apart from new stadium? Arseanl need to wake up fast because they are liverpool of two seasons ago. Few and bad signnings and a sense that cl football is a 'right'. Its early days but arsenal haven't won yet and lost to a direct cl rival.

Or maybe they want to keep him, expecting him to gain more attention in the future therefore commanding a bigger transfer fee....or better still he will want to go to a club that actually wins trophies and not become also rans yr in yr out.
