Well unless Chelsea have another player signing who is going to play Europa football before he joins i doubt it would be an attempt for that as it wouldn't matter.

I guess you're referring to the fact that teams can register 1 player that has already played in the Europa League in their CL squad? If so, doesn't that only apply after the group stages of the CL?

If Modric had of played tonight (he's not as he's got a hamstring injury) then he'd be ineligible for Chelsea in the Champions League till January. That would very much be an issue for Chelsea

Didn't realise it was until January.

Still won't matter with the group they have.

Adebayor has been having a medical Harry just said.

edit--->

LOL! :D Guessing they just had to update the site when he said he was having his medical today.

We are delighted to announce the signing of Emmanuel Adebayor on a season-long loan from Manchester City.

The Togo-born striker moved to the Premier League in January, 2006 from Monaco and has scored 81 goals in 186 appearances in all competitions during spells with Arsenal and Manchester City.

Adebayor spent the second half of last season on loan at Real Madrid registering eight goals in 22 appearances.

Bah too slow :D

Another loan signing.

We are delighted to announce the signing of Yago Falque on a season-long loan from Juventus.

The Spain Under-21 attacking midfielder, a European Under-17 Championship winner with Spain in 2007, joined Juventus from Barcelona in August, 2008 and spent last season on loan at Spanish second division side Villareal B where he scored 11 goals in 36 games.

"Riise has a serious problem with the leg," he said. "That's why I substituted him with Matthew Briggs."

That's all we need :(.

Running low on players and we're only a few games into the season, uh oh. Gonna be a busy next week or so for Fulham. Need a right back, centre mid, winger, striker and possibly another left back. Not looking too good squad wise! 21 first team players, two about to leave, three injured and four (one injured) new signings. Uh oh.

Bellamy to Liverpool rumours have gathered more pace tonight. All the rags are reporting that Bellamy's close to agreeing a compensation package with City and he's very likely to join us on a free transfer, although Spurs are said to be interested too.

I said the same last night, but hopefully there will be some sort of announcement on Coates tomorrow. His father (and agent) is said to have met with Comolli today and he himself was flying into England today (well yesterday now), landing late tonight/early hours of Friday for his medical. Coates's fee is said to be around £7m - a lot lower than the reported £15m+ he was being touted about for earlier in the summer.

I'm not sure the fact he'd be going back would effect anything. It's just a case of whether he'd be happy being cover at Liverpool or joining a smaller side (earning less money) and playing regularly.

The fact that he can do a job in any of the forward positions will help his chances of getting into our side. He could fill in for any of Downing, Kuyt, Suarez or Carroll (albeit not directly) if they were to pick up a knock.
