** Summer Transfer Window 2011/12 Season Rumours/Signings **

Not sure I haven't been following many transfer rumours. For people saying "yet another striker" I think we do actually need one. When RVP is inevitably injured we need someone who can play similarly, Chamakh is more of a target man and that just isn't how we play, plus he's been useless ever since van Persie came back from his injury. He's had chances to show he deserves a place in the team, but he hasn't taken them and he looked dire in pre season. He's slow, gets his feet mixed up too often and can't challenge in the air despite being about 6'2.

Chamakh and Gervinho will be off in Jan to the ACoN. That makes a striker a bit more of a priority i guess.

Is that a joke? I don't know much about him apart from he plays for Monaco and that he had a decent record with South Korea? He's awesome on FIFA too.

:D

As said, the Costa Rican lad we signed has apparently been denied permission for a work permit, so it's entirely possible the club knew this might happen and have moved in for this other guy. Wenger thinks Bender is definitely on the way out too, so whether this is 'the striker' out of the 3 signings in each area of the pitch we're supposedly looking to make or just a quick fix (I've read he may have to go back to South Korea to do military service in 2 years time) is anyone's guess at the moment.

Spurs are seriously going to be lacking in depth, surely Harry has something up his sleeve before the end of this window or it's pointless letting them go now??

Still bits and bobs floating around regarding M’Vila, Hazard, Cahill, Valbuena and even Arteta (can't see it myself). It does feel like there's a signing or two left in us yet, although tomorrow will be a real bodge-job of a team in midfield.

Why Vela was sent on loan I don't know, as for a striker, meh, Bendtner has been superb, when he stepped in for the injured RVP he was awesome for us, and that was with no form, few strikers will jump into a team from not playing and do so well in the champs league and the league. All we need is to switch back to 4-4-2 and give Bendtner games, he's said it countless times, he wants to stay but if Wenger won't play him, he goes.

We have two strikers(well 58) sitting there on the bench getting paid and Wenger just won't use them, so we're going to buy several new strikers, of whom most will sit on the bench most of the time. Considering how many "wingers" we have who are really strikers, we absolutely do NOT need a winger.

As for someone stepping in for RVP and Chamakh not being right, we got more points with Chamakh in the team than RVP, and Chamakh's form has been rubbish since he hasn't been played, the most he's got since Jan is basically half and hour a few times. He's not match fit, nor confident, nor in form, when he had all three Arsenal were better. Basically RVP might get goals but he sucks balls as a lone striker, so another guy to play the same way isn't the answer AT ALL.

RVP gets injured, we have Gervinho, Theo, Arshavin who could step in to that single role. We keep buying strikers and playing them out wide, the squad is full of people who want to play in the middle and as a striker/withdrawn striker. We should be buying actual wingers, not strikers.

I said at the time Chamakh would be a ridiculous buy, 4mil a year for a guy who can't get a game.

If Wenger wants to go 4-4-2, we have strikers to fill in, if he stays with 4-5-1, we need LESS strikers than we have, not more. He's a god damned nutter.

Thats all ignoring the lying, the pretending Cesc/Nasri aren't leaving, calling us a small club, feigning ignorance when Bolton get angered at a low bid, while screaming at Barca for doing the same, etc, etc.
