****The Official Samsung Galaxy S II Thread***

You're probably fine in that respect then. Just have a look through installed apps, see if you have any that sound like they monitor something in some way.

Checking the battery stats is a more reliable way, something showing high on wakelock will tell you it's using your phone when you would perhaps want it to be sleeping.

On a different matter, does anyone else have a problem with their screen going off too quick? Mine seems to turn off after 20 seconds, seemingly regardless of what I set the timer to be, 30 seconds or a minute. It's being doing this for 2 different ROM's now. :(

This part in the battery colab guide

**Root users only** Using a Terminal Emulator, type “su” enter, followed by “rm /data/system/batterystats.bin”

Does that mean go into clockwork and delete batterystats?

Cheers

Cheers,

I've seen this in the Lite'ning ROM FAQ which I think I'll try first and see how much battery I lose over night. :)

My phone's battery drain is insane! How do I fix it?
As a first step, try calibrating your battery by doing the following (thanks darkmax1974):
1. Plug in and charge the device to maximum.
1.1 OPTIONAL: Turn off the phone and charge again.
2. Reboot the device into Recovery with the plug still attached.
3. Go to "Advance" and select "Wipe Battery Stats".
4. Reboot system from the Recovery main menu (1st page).
5. Unplug and use.

Oh and Samsung Dive, it has the accuracy to be able to pin the Maps marker over the room the phone is in AND has the ability to turn GPS on if you left it off or a thief turns it off. The latter part is something no other phone has IIRC.

.

isnt that still available in the batista rom

You can find links to all the official ROM's at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278 at a few lines down at the top of the first page there is a link to carrier branded firmware, which include Vodafone etc for the UK.

Hope this helps! :)

NO.... the one underneath i.e. BUKG2 is actually the latest, as KG is later than KE!

I actually used the latest 'Frankenstein' one (KH3) on mine, which is a single file flash in Odin, and is an even later release which, despite the fact that it has not yet been 'officially' released in that form, still came up as a [VOD] CSC on my Vodafone Galaxy S2, which was encouraging.

Enable USB debugging, it's enabled by default though....

You guys are aware of the shortcuts in Samsung based ROMs yep? like dragging the motification bar left/right to adjust screen brightness, couble tapping home to launch voice command and the ability to fully control an active call from the notification bar so you can use another app during a call?

Oh and Samsung Dive, it has the accuracy to be able to pin the Maps marker over the room the phone is in AND has the ability to turn GPS on if you left it off or a thief turns it off. The latter part is something no other phone has IIRC.

Stuff like that is why I won't be moving to any other non Samsung based ROM. If those can be ported over then I will though, but never a moment before.

Mind = Blown.

Can Lock my phone from use, retrieve all logs, and the pin point accuracy when locating my phone is awesome! :o

Batista ROM updated to 3.7.3 - I noticed some bugs, namely the kernel is buggy so you need to flash old kernel. I just went back to 372 instead as on top of this the 373 notification bar power toggles are sporting new icons which are uglier than a deformed baby :S

If the icons are not changed back I will switch to a different ROM, I don't want to but I can't offend my eyes with such ugly icons!
