****The Official Samsung Galaxy S II Thread***

It just doesn't have the hardware home button?

Pretty much, but I HATE that button with a passion. So much passion that it's stopping me from buying the phone!!

2 out of the 3 are 4.5" instead of the 4.3" as well, along with rounded corners and a bigger battery. Here's a better comparison.

I'd like the one far right please :)

Just spoke to Orange as I can upgrade now currently on a 12 month contract with the Galaxy S, £40 a month few 100 mins, unlimited texts, 500mb net, insurance etc.. Been on pretty much the same plan for years well paying the same each month.

They can offer me the SGS on either a 18 or 24 month contract for less each month but it addes up to around £120 more for the time of the contract which is a bit cack.

I managed to go from a Hero to this SGS on a 12 month so am hoping to do the same, she claims they no longer do 12 month contracts but pretty sure they said that last time as well.

Just found the SGS2 with Talk Mobile for £30 a month, 400 mins, 1000 texts, 1gb net £30 a month and pay £100 for the phone which to me seems a great deal I can sell my SGS for more than £100 and cover the cost of a new handset.

How do I get through to retentions because if they don't want to budge I will jump ship and take that offer up. Contract isn't up to end of November but by time I get some sort of reponse through them and then go ahead cancelling my plan which I have to do in advance anyway its not that far away.

it looks ass too, kinda like an iphone 3gs, it's too round! Middle one looks best by far, but are they even real? samsung logo is too close to the buttons.

I prefer the shape of the UK one anyway, the more rounder corners of the CDMA one(s) is too cute and girly. I want something that looks pro, not cute.

...It's a real problem I have haha. Ever since the Galaxy S came out, I've just always wanted a phone with no buttons...

How would you turn it on...:p

It really doesn't bother me, I actually prefer a physical button over touch sensitive.

Can you honestly say that button adds to the overall design of the phone?

Nope but then again I never even put a 2nd thought to the button size, looks or placement a single time in ownership of it. I tend to marvel at everything else that actually means something such as weight, speed, thickness, camera quality etc :p

Sorry, I should have been more clear. I don't want buttons on the lip/chin of the phone. On the side doesn't bother me. :D

You have never seen the iPhone one then?

Yes, and I find that button pretty ugly as well :p

I'm just picking at bones here tbf.

I agree, but there's no need to sacrifice good looks just for good performance....
