Wheels next month.
Should be ready for some winter training, the nights are getting darker now.

Went to a few shops yesterday as a mate is looking for a discounted 2011 bike. Went to Evans and will never go back. The customer service in there is terrible and we were pretty much being ignored.
Took my mate to the local shop near me (mountain trax in Wokingham if anyone is interested; excellent shop) and was given all the time he needed and is going for a Giant Trance X2. £1600 brand new, pretty good deal I think.

Opposite here, local bikeshop is a joke and Evans guys are top notch. Both my brakes were knackered, and proper knackered. Took it to the local who charged me £10 and told me it just needed a service. Checked it out myself, got a couple of cyclist pals to check too. Everyone agreed both the brakes were gubbed properly, took it to Evans. Guys were keen, came to the same conclusions as me. As they had to order the new brakes in and it took a couple of weeks didn't charge me for the full service they did or any labour charges and chucked in a free £40 saddle.

The joys of the cycle trade :o

We had a guy in to see what he was like(seemed to talk the talk). He had marked the bike as good to go even though the brakes were squeeking like mad and not braking very well.

He even test rode it after bleeding the brakes! Loads of disc brake cleaner and pads later all was well. He is now in dales.....:(

That's why I hope Rob Warner commentates for some time to come... He adds to the fun and enjoyment. Having watched another event with idiots covering it, it is clear that commentators can make or break an event

love that - favourite sporting line of the year!

That was funny, but not as funny as Nigel Page screaming “Oooh my Ghad” like a school girl when Danny did his whip!
I replayed that little soundclip like 5 times in a row it had me in stitches… the wife came over and stopped me doing it more times :(

I'll have to wait for the 2012 ones to come out first so the 2010 ones drop within my price range :-) 2k is about my limit at the moment. See your yellow one is still on PB. Mates is the burgandy with bos fork/shock, butter smooth to ride and stupidly fast.

Killed my pads tonight, somehow they have worn away bloody quickly, think I had the superstar organics in there, thinking of replacing but unsure of whether to go for the kevlar or sintered, guess sintered will last that bit longer, but the kevlar ones will bite better and harder from what i'm reading? Any suggestions for Elixir R carbons please! :D
