aye same here,i think its one of the better cards they made,
I am more than happy with my 5850
Overclocking it to 900Mhz core and 1200Mhz frequency gave me extra 10+ FPS in alpha

The way I see it, there is not much gain from a 5870 to any of the 6 series AMD cards (apart from the 6990 of course).
Run it on my 5870 and if I do fancy an upgrade, will wait for the new 7 series.

There is if you're running crossfire, 6 series scales much better than the 5 series for some reason.

Best way is to pester EA Live Chat for a 20% discount (be persistent and make sure you speak to a level 2 advisor).

Can you explain further about "Pester". I can't just go online chat and demand 20% surely?
I think other people were saying things along the lines of "Hmmm it looks great and I bought all of the previous BF games, but the preview price is pretty damn high and that discounted MW3 preorder looks mighty tempting..."

I just said a few of my friends had been given a discount code and I really wanted to pre-order through Origin for all of the extras, but didn't want to pay £39.99 as it can be bought else where for much cheaper.
When the first advisor said no, I asked to speak to someone else and I got put through to a level 2 advisor.

I did that on my 7th go lol
. After 6 unsuccessful attempts I became more demanding and aggressive, saying something along the lines of 'My request is very simple. I want 20% discount code' straight at them. It was a very long conservation but got the code in the end as I had to be passed on to 2nd tier support.
True - however you don't get the additional SPECTAC skins that a certain other company sells as a preorder bonus. Hardly a big deal though.
