9/11; Never forget.

It was 10 years ago, not only that, but there has been events in the world where lots more people have been unjustly killed for whatever reason, which isn't pushed into your face by the media, but oh, because it happened to America it is the most important thing to ever happen, oh noes. People keep banging on and on about 9/11 and frankly, it's boring. Bored now.

Great pics simulatorman.. Always there with the best pics you are.. ;) Nice one!

RIP to all.

I can't say I've ever seen anything on TV that has had anywhere as much as an impact as that actual day, and hopefully won't either. Even though the death toll was not the highest, you just knew at the time the proverbial S was about to hit the fan.

It's shameful the on the 7th of July the only mention of the bombings was a brief segment on the news, I believe the bigger story was the Beckhams child.

I'm not entirely sure what everybody's fascination with the US is, sure their attack was of a huge scale but does that mean the attacks here were of less significance???

I think it's nothing more that how visible it is. A bus and a the underground isn't as visible a symbol as those towers or provide as dramatic pictures as the ones simulatorman posted.

Had the London bombings involved flying two aircraft into canary wharf and the house of parliment I think it would be as huge as scale as americans remembrance.

I think for most people they have become somewhat accustomed to suicide bombers but hijacking a plane of innocents and flying a plane into thousands more is a whole new level to get your head around for most people, I think.

Why should I care any more or less than the other civilians who have died during recent wars just because these were mainly americans.

Where was the international reflection and commemoration for the 8,000 civilians killed in the Srebrenica massacre as but one example.

This is a tragedy for the people involved and I can have the general empathy for peoples loss, but as usual the americans through their own inflated sense of self importance and nationalist outpouring try to portray this as the most tragic event that has ever happening, which if you have equal empathy for all humans, is frankly ridiculous.

Brilliant post, it's just gonna be used as a excuse to launch even more wars over energy resources.

Was just reading about blair the muppet, now he wants Iran and Syria to be invaded. I hope some big black guy invades him from the rear...

They went beyond milking this incident years ago.

I always find it quite funny that the americans basically paint a bullseye on there faces every year since. Honestly all it would take is more attacks on 9/11 and the amount of panic it would generate each year on the run up to that day would be tremendous. Maybe I'm just being cynical...

Like i said in the other thread, yes it's a tragedy, but deep down i couldn't care less.

British have plenty of blood on their hands funny how we always blame the yanks for wars we join in.

Oh I also blame Tony B'Liar. Can't remember the British people being very supportive of war effort, especially the oil grab in Iraq. I view both Bush and B'Liar as war criminals.

I never mourn the loss of the past, its a waste of my time and everyone elses, you can do it if you like but i wont hold any care for it.

I do however mourn the loss of future PREVENTABLE losses, as a species that is supposedly enlightened, there is simply no excuses for making the wrong decisions.

Unfortunately i believe it is to late to save what i see are millions of dead people in the near future, all thanks to humans thirst for revenge.

If you can not deal with the consequences of your own emotions, then there is no space for you in the future, no space for savage barbarians.

Why did Muslims across the globe rejoice when they heard about 9/11? I wonder what we did to them to make them hate us so much.

Maybe because they are the thick ignorant ****s that the news likes to focus on celebrating and burning flags etc.

Just the same if a muslim country had a massive act of terrorism on it's soil or a hugely important religious symbol burnt to the ground select idiotic groups in this country and America would celebrate for the lols.

i would expect nothing less of the average american to feel how they do. there's no british stiff upper lip or keep calm and carry on attitude and even us brits are losing the meaning of that attitude.
