Star Wars blu ray sept 2011

verdict from those lucky enough to have it? PQ / AQ?

unfortunately still waiting for my pre-order :( should be here tomorrow, can't wait :)

I've watched 4, 5 and 6 and they look pretty damn good for the most part. Some of the CGI sections that were added over the years stick out like sore thumbs now, but overall it was pretty damn good. I'd forgotten how awesome han solo is.

On a side note, the new bits of audio that have been added for obi wans dragon call and vaders 'noooooooooooooooooooo' seem awfully loud compared to the original soundtrack. I just can't understand why lucas would feel the need to add them. They add nothing, the films were fine without them and they just don't seem to gel. I mean if he'd introduced a deleted scene then year, but two bits of voice over? what was the point?

you could get 15% off with Tesco's a couple of days ago...not sure if you still can, but this made it ~£52,. google it...

Waiting for mine to be delivered, hopefully tomorrow. Had forgoten that I had it on pre-order from back in January.......

Main question is....and saw something about this on another forum, but didnt go into much detail........has he finally fixed the Han Solo / Greedo scene and put it back to the way it should be showing old Han Buddy as the hard as nails character he is???

Not entirely... It's better, but not how it should be.

I hear a few people that ordered their box set from a high street music/video store with a dog have received a free t-shirt. Mine turned up today from an online store but no t-shirt :(

So has anyone sat and watched all 6 films back to back yet?

*cough* 7.... ;)

Other half is away this weekend, thats what I'll be doing then. Same thing I did when I saw EP3 at the midnight showing at the cinema except I'll have a more comfortable seat, better sound and better snacks. :D

I'm gutted that the audio is only 6.1.

Granted, it's 6.1 DTS- Master audio, but still.. I expect 7.1 from a Bluray, and certainly one from the skywalker ranch. Kung Fu panda has 7.1 FFS :(

On a side note.. I went to Tesco on my lunch today and they had about 200 box sets by the front of the store + the usual 20-25 on the shelf in the DVD aisle.
