Nope, only the public can sign up for the open public Beta. Private individuals will have to wait until the release of the game in october.

No it is specific to xbox (i assume probably ps3 too). Because you can instal your game to the HD, you also have to run the disc, otherwise you could buy a game once and share it among your friends. They just mean on xbox you need to keep the disc in the tray to play the beta. My understanding with MOH LE owners who bought off steam (pre order) have to attach there CD key to origin and get it that way.

Well thats a given, for steam owners though it might be a bit more akward. Especially after all the bs with ea and valve lately.

Play the FIFA demo.. that's all i'm doing to pass the time.
Theres the new trailer on Friday, they released a 50sec sneak preview of it last Friday and said it'll continue this coming Friday.
People are being far too impatient for their own good, counting the days and constantly demanding new stuff wont make it happen any faster, instead it just encourages others to join in the moaning and must surely puts you/them in a crappy mood. How does complaining about not getting something you've no entitlement to getting yet going to make anything any better. They stated a month, they didnt have to do that, were not even half way through that month and all we've had since Sept rolled in on BF3 related sites/topics is whines about why its not out or a fixed date given (like a fixed date will make it any sooner).
They said Sept, and people moan and demand a date.
When they announce a date, people will spend the week leading upto it moaning about when the exact time will be.
It'll happen when it happens, why get worked up over it.
Was just playing MOH multi for a round or two, its scary how much of a turd that mp is, the weapons might as well all be laser blasters. Your hitbox also seems to do a good job of lagging way behind you, got killed several times when i was clearly behind thick cover, its almost like you get behind it you can still get hit like you're in the open.
Even the BF3 alpha felt more polished than that turd of a game.

Well this might be the reason why no date yet, and if true its thanks to the consoles certification process.
