Battlefield games of old (1942, vietnam, 2142 and bf2) all had such bad hit reg and damage it was a joke. Honestly, i played BF2 a few days ago to remind me of the glory days and all it did was give me the keyboard rage. Stand about 5 meters away from someone with a sniper rifle and its hit or miss

Whilst I agree with BF2 hit reg, I found 1942 and BFV to be great.

i thought Operation Guillotine continued today going on the last trailer ?? They wouldnt release any info videos on american standard times would they ??

I hope it's Sli compatible because the alpha wasn't!
The first release of the alpha didnt support sli, the second version did. With a single 470 i was getting a max of 50fps, 80 with sli. Used msi afterburner to check gpu usage when playing, both cards at 97% usage in the second alpha release.

Preordered mine from OCUK just, I think the staff at OCUK should ship the game a few days before like Monday for their loyal forums, we don't want our games being late.. nudge nudge ;)

If you have origin installed, add your disk copy cd key in it. Can be found in the customize and control settings menu.

Is your copy of moh a downloaded version, ie steam or ea origin, or a disk copy? With a disk copy you can redeem the cd key on the game manual on origin, (as ive done for bfbc2). If you bought it through origin, you will have bf3 beta 48hr access, theyll have sent an email to confirm this.

Its a disk version. How do I redeem the cd key?

Log into origin, click on the customize and control icon, (next to help), youll find an option here to redeem the key from your games manual.

SO hang on

You are arguing to make the game more realistic, it should take MORE bullets to take you down ?

Huh ?

.

What are you talking about? In a nutshell what i said was in the alpha a lot of people were of the opinion that the damage was too hardcore for stock mode, dice said its still being tweaked. And out of that you somehow get "more bullets for a kill = more realistic??

Who even mentioned realism?

BF2 was never like that. it was the same in BF2 that it only needed a good bullet to the head or two to take somebody down. Thats more realistic. Not the other way round.

Congrats, this isn't BF2, and im not even going to mention the "realism" part as thats something you conjured out of thin air.

With the better hit detection i'm of the opinion that the damage model of stock BC2 would work well for normal mode in BF3, with some tweaking. The Caspian trailer seemed to show something along those lines with the kill on the guy on the AT-Missile Launcher, the scar had 11 rounds and it went right down to zero though he wasnt in iron sights and the guy seeemd to be dead when he hit around 5 rounds. Still, waiting for the beta to see how its been tweaked from the Alpha. :)

Someone has probably already posted this but there is an EA Battlefield3 Tour Bus in Cardiff until Sunday. When you get in (bit of a wait) you watch 2 trailers on a 60 inch screen sat far too close then get to play a co-op level (supporting a hummer down an alley) on PS3.

Sadly you only get one life (you are meant to revive your team mate if they die) but after 5 minutes my ps3 wireless pad stopped working while I was out of cover and game over.

At least the free EA pen has funky blue lights inside it!
