Also, anyone got a link to a GENUINE 1080p version of the operation guillotine trailer? ( pc one). All the youtube videos say they are 1080p when they are clearly not

Just got my new rig from the local PC shop, the tech guy say's two of these in Sli will blow BF3 away. But when you power it up at night the street lights dim, just shows you the power of this beast, can't wait to go Sli. :D

I've been umming and arring about whether to get this on the PC or 360, as unfortunately nearly everyone I want to play with will be getting it on 360, and that to me is more important than a slight increase in graphics or having to use a controller (after an hour or so playing BC2 on one I really don't mind it *that* much). But I think that comparison gif just went and blew the 360 idea out of the water. My only worry now is how much I'l have to spend on my PC to get it looking like that.. Q6600 @ 3.2ghz, 16GB Ram, GTX260.. I'm thinking perhaps just a 480/570 should be ok? If I have to change any more I'll just get the Xbox and suck it up :p

I think even GTX260 will play BF3 fine on medium settings.

Wait for the beta and actual game and then decide.

If it is struggling get 480/570 as you mentioned

I am looking at a £400 upgrade/overhaul myself to run BF3 at high settings... but really, if I was playing a 24 player server in the Xbox version, I would be constantly reminding myself "Hey, pc gamers are in 64 player servers right now, with bigger maps etc". It would slowly chew away at me...

You do realise that joystick only has one button, and you'll need more than one for flying the jets, right?

I'd recommend something like this:

@Adrianr: I'd second what WingZero said, wait for the Beta. Even if you're in the same situation as me and you already know you're going to have to upgrade, once the Beta comes out you'll have a much better idea of what you'll have to upgrade to.

Does this not remind you of 'train cockpit'? ;)

Your quite right, this is why l went for a Sli set up, being a retired train driver its the right set up for me. But forgot to mention l also play the Coronation St game and need Sli, when your in the Rovers when you have to eat as many of Betty's hotpots plus a pint without throwing up. The graphics are astounding the detail of Betty's hotpot make's your mouth water, dare l mention the detail of when your throwing up, l actualy did.
