Who here owns a Renaultsport?

Odd I know but when my GF's Megane heater matrix failed it smelt 'fishy' in the cabin, you say there is no smell? Not sure if that's common or not.

Can't really offer any further advice. The reason I asked is condensation vs. smoke is the difference between "hmm, something must be up with the aircon" and "ahhhh! run away before I die in a ball of fire and melted plastic!" :D

It could be the hose going to it so personally I wouldn't buy the new part until I had the old one off. I've wasted too much money on replacing parts that aren't broken or buying the wrong part to do otherwise now :).

alexisonfire, SS, what brand are your coilies?

Anyone have any of the Raceland branded ones? K Tec have them on a clearance sale as Raceland have gone under.

That heater matrix wants pressure testing first - get to where you can see it and pressure test your coolant system.

You can do it with an EZ-Bleed if you don't have a proper pressure tester.

Finally picked up some Velcro and fitted my track plates :D

Replaced the aerial base on mine this morning with one from Cliospares. After a lot of frustration getting some of the plastic out and the roof lining down (wear gloves and long sleeves otherwise you'll be itching all day!) I managed to get it changed. I can now listen to the radio without 99% fuzz/interference!

Cause your rigidly stuck in the seat whilst the roof caves on on you. Normal seat belts don't completely restrict movement so you've less chance of getting your face crushed - In theory.

I was under the impression that all FIA approved bucket seats have the ability to hold the weight of a car should the roof collapse in? I'm sure I heard a story once of a lad in his car who rolled, and was only saved by the fact he was in a bucket seat, it held the weight of the car. Had it not been there the roof would have fully collapsed.

It might be possible as long as the a pillars don't collapse, but would imagine the seat would have to be carbon fibre, with the more brittle nature of fibre glass, I would have thought it would crack.

182 wannabe! :p

When is your next track day?

I was gonna say no, as it was on the car when I bought it, but it was on my list of things to do to a 172 anyway :). I just think the 172 rear end looks 'odd' not having an exhaust since they launched the 182.

A couple of mates are doing Silverstone in November. I'm tempted, but I have a list of things I want to do to it before then, and no money.

I think the 172s look great with the single exhaust but with the 182 cut out.

I really need to get mine on the track, though up here its like a big playground.

Did give her a pretty big clean today, stood back and yep looked exactly the same as when I started. Silver is a rubbish colour to clean. The beading kept me happy enough though. :)

Two questions

What's the recommended tyre pressures for the 205/45/16 182 wheels/tyres? I had a look in the door shut and could only see chassis weights/paint colour codes, and in the manual it only mentions the 'normal' Clios, engine column doesn't include 2.0 16v and wheel size stops at 15". I just guessed and stuck mine to 32PSI.

Also, how the **** do you get the centre caps off 182 Cup wheels without damaging either them or the wheels!?
