Beta will start on Wednesday 21st, and will open to all 23rd. I think it will end on the 25th, with exactly a month to go until release.

I'd be very disappointed if I found out I forked out an extra tenner to get 4 days of beta instead of waiting and getting the LE box from the rainforest.

doubt it will be that short. BC2 beta was either 2 or 4 weeks, cant remember, and ended 1 week before the games release

DICE wouldn't be able to gather any decent feedback with a 2 day beta, remember the whole purpose is to test weapon/map balancing, server load etc etc.

A 2 day beta would be worthless to DICE.

I tried it on a dual core E8400 and 4870 1Gb, with 4Gb RAM, and it was pretty much unplayable. My machine hadn't been formatted for a LONG time, but still, it was crap.

Unlikely but possible.

I remember the bf2 BETA it was hard finding a server that wasn't overloaded to download it at 6meg. 6 years later I bet it's the same only this time I have 30meg

Do you think adding a second 4870 would help? Or is this game mainly CPU intensive. Reason i ask is because my two brothers playing have almost the same pc as you mentioned, But one is running a quad core @2.4 and the other has a dual core, Both running with 4870's with 4gb ram. My friend has two old 4870's he will sell to me for cheap but wondered how much difference it will make.
