Well said IMO.

The ea forums are 10x worse than here for whining

We're lucky we're getting a beta at all, a lot of games don't have public betas.

How often does it have to be said, the "beta" benefits Dice, yeah we get to play the game but when it comes down to it its basically them trying the game out on thousands of configs, which they could never possibly do inhouse, and getting feedback from a lot of those people.

That privelage crack he came off with was laughable.

LOL, what a *******, how exactly is them getting to test the game on a ton of configs and get bug reports and user feedback a privelage for us? Think that boy needs to pull his head out of his ass, as he's getting high on the smell of his own ****.

hehehehehe

Couldn't have said it better than myself lol:D:D:D:D:p

And the threads magically disappeared, what a shocker. Somebody muasta put the angry chiuaua (zh1nt0) back on his leash.

How can they honestly say theyre suprised at the response though, metro got nothing but negative feedback during the alpha, it was just an annoying map to play and didn't seem very "battlefield" at all.

lol zh1nt0 whine.

They deleted the thread soon after.

Apparently this is why metro was chosen:

Amplifi3dHenric Nordin:
@ zh1nt0 Why did you choose Surgery Metro again, as you tested the Alpha? Would be fun to know, from a design perspective. :-)

in reply to @ Amplifi3d ↑
@ zh1nt0Daniel Seaman @ Amplifi3d Because we want to see what changes people like most and that it is a good yardstick for the development

stop calling it a beta, it's an insult to real betas which last months and lets you test the entire game.
So if its not a beta, what is it? Beta is a stage of software release, one of the stages before the software is complete and ready to be released.

It is NOT a demo - a demo is a section or part of a finished game. BF3 is not yet finished.

Of course it benefits DICE, they get feedback from lots of players, however they don't need to release a public beta in order to launch the game. They (like many other developers) could have decided to only have internal beta testing and not open it to the general public, so the fact that they've decided to let us play the game, for free, when they don't have to - that's where the privilege is.

Internal beta testing only uncovers so much, operation metro was internally tested, when it went alpha and people got invited they found hundreds of things to change. Theyre under more pressure than usual from EA because of MW3 launching soon after so they need to deliver a polished product.

If they had of just said at the beginning of the month the beta would be out on the 29th and on rush and op metro then we wouldnt have all this bitching, well not as much.

Very true, it's in the interest of the game, but it still doesn't change the fact that they don't have to release a public beta :)

Fact is EA are using the Beta for marketing purposes to top up pre-orders, how many people on here handed over 40 notes to get 48 hour early beta access? how many people would have waited for free beta and bought elsewhere for a tenner cheaper had they known the beta map is 32 rush on choke point central metro.

If you're handing over that much cash for two days extra beta access you really do deserve to be taken for a ride.
