OP, I don't understand - are you genuinely scared about going into year 8? You can't be serious.

Save your fear for exam time, or university application or your working life.

I find it hard to believe that the thought of going into year 8 actually scared you.

Meh, how can you be so bothered about going up a year at school?

Its bettter when you start at a new school, they stick you in set 5 out of 9 cos they think you're a dumb dumb based on what your previous school said, and then a year later you end up in set 1 for science and set 2 for maths ....

But they only put me in set 4 for English and made me do foundation. CLOWNS!

Dont smoke weed.

I smoked a lot of weed this age and it messed me up. Drink alcohol now and then if you want but just dont do other frugs or weed until you are much older nad make choice.

DOnt be forced by peer pressure or wahtever to take drugs.

however mess around this next couple of years cause you dont need to study hard til a few years time.

Like me I went GRade As to a stoner/truent grade Ds but then when it mattered GSCE etc..I just stopped the durgs and studied and got results

ANyway thats just my personal advice

ANd learn guitar now so when you are 18 you can start band and be greatest guitarists in the world and get lots of girls and stuff and money and not need to work

I got into uni and I never did A or AS levels. There was also no 6th form at my school.

I'm lost with all this years jargon these days. Not sure if it's a Scottish/English thing or an age thing. When I was at school you did...

Primary 1 to 7.
Secondary school 1st and 2nd year,
Secondary school 3rd and 4th year, studying a minimum of 7 Standard-Grades.
Then you either left school or did 5th and/or 6th year to study Highers and SYS's.

So, how does it work now?

I think you're missing reception, its just before year 1.
