Im hitting 1200mb out of 1280 on my cards, fairly heats them up as well, 77-72c at 750/1500/1674 clocks. Two i7 9** rigs in one room, who needs heating lol.![]()
ibob: ''single 5850 seems to be doing ok on the beta, getting a lot of fps drops from 30-40 to 10 though. Thats on high settings with 16x tropi and aa disabled (no choice on beta)''.
A lot of games lately have used large amounts of vram, Witcher 2 used 1150mb for me, Shogun 2 1350mb....and i think Metro 2033 was like 1200mb or so too but may be wrong with that one.
It's when you apply anti aliasing/shadows to a high amount that vram starts to go up a lot especially after 4xmsaa or higher it starts to get a lot more used.
StonedPenguin- Was against you in that last round, you just kept moaning about not being able to fly the jetI think you played the whole round without killing anyone, did you spend the whole round waiting for the jet?

1920x1080 everything ultra, uses up all 1.5gb vram.
I think even with AA off, Vram was already reaching 990-1000MB in my case. So I think when I applied AA, this caused performance loss during heavy action.
Try lowering the shadows it should reduce it by a fair bit...besides even with medium shadows the game should still look real good as it's probably one of the least image quality effecting options anyway.
After playing Caspian Border, I never want to play Operation Metro again.
I hope all the remaining 7 default maps are very large and conquest based
What's the password for CB servers?![]()
I thought that, though after a few games of Caspian I am seeing Metro in a new light. Just had a cracking couple of games on it, instead of the usual all out, dare I say it, dashing about COD style, was moving with squads. Love it.
Game of the Decade and more, a lot more.
Lol I think it yearns for more.
It would be very interesting if 2GB vram users could share their experience of how much theirs' got used up during high-ultra settings especially on 1920x1080p .
Appletini , only works on some just keep trying.
