I managed to get my first unlock within 5 seconds of loading the game.
I was updating the ATI drivers and noticed the game running in the background, the round ended and I won.

Using a 4870 512mb cat 11.10 preview, clocked 790mhz / 1000mhz, and it's playable at 1366x768 with High but terrain is forced medium and AA/Motion blur/HBAO all off. Outside getting fps of around 25 to 50, inside safer fps of 30 to 80.

Fps degrades over the rounds though, and certain areas can make it feel a little chuggy when being shot at.

My afterburner shows that my gpu usage is 95% to 99%, and memory usage at ~500mb.
 
Loving the game, loving my 5850 running it just fine on high with some AA, really not loving the torch blindness. The metro area is fairly well lit but anyone with a torch looks like a mini supernova even if they aren't pointing the torch at you
 
Only tried Metro for a few games so far. The map itself seems a bit disorientating in some places but that just means I need to play the game more.

Graphics seem decent (Don't know what settings they're on) but the game looks good. FPS seems good for the graphics, no slowdowns. Hit-reg seems to be quite good. I also like the sounds, well the explosions anyway. On my 5.1 surround sound setup the explosions give off a nice loud boom.

Only bug that has really caught my attention was when I tried crouching for the first time and ended up below the ground, I then stood up and tried walking around to find that I was bouncing up and down slightly which is quite irritating when you're trying to aim at someone. Probably been mentioned by someone else before.

Don't know if I'll buy the game or not yet, another hour or two on the Beta and the return of some old maps will probably sway me.
 
What really is annoying me is the squad system. You can't select a squad... When joining servers as a party it doesn't put you in the same squad. You can't join servers as a party by the server select. Only quick match seems to work!
 
After playing caspian its laughable to go back into metro, just had a few rounds on it and all anyones doing is laying prone in foliage sniping.

Of course that wasn;t obvious or anything, soon as they announced prone was making a return this was inevitable.
 
Hahaha, this is utterly shocking so far! First launch and it rebooted the PC but that has not happened again yet so put it down to it being a beta.

Can't change standard bindings? That makes it quite difficult from the get go!

Graphics? What graphics? Obviously this is a beta but it simply doesn't look good and I'm running it (not bragging) at 1920x1080 on ultra, 8x AA etc. at 100fps.

And the gameplay feels horrendous which is probably the most important part of it. Really disappointed from initial impressions and I actually wasn't holding out much anyway, so it's not a case of over hyping it.
