torch = crap
spawning into instadeath scenarios
where are the artillery you can take out as a special ops or the radar units to take out? I used to love that aspect of BF2 I would spend hours blowing up enemies radar and artillery sites.

seems each bf is getting worse and worse and more dare i say it 'cod-esq' where is the tactical commander position and squad order menus and the like?

Anyone else noticed theres a rock on metro at the very left that defenders can glitch over, down that little area beside the first objective A with the foliage corridor. Theres been a few times i was shot and you can literally see the bare tip of the enemes head, yet they can shoot you as if theres much more of themselves seeing over the rock.

I'm also certain that hit detection is utterly broken. So many times i'll shoot a guy, see the 'hit' crosshairs flash up, then die and the game tells me he's still at 100 health.

Meh.

I am enjoying it overall but i can't help but feel that with less than a month to release, it needs too much work tbh. I don't see how there can be so many gliches in the game so close to release. Of course i hope it is all sorted for release, i haven't preordered yet but probably will on monday.

Hit markers are useless as well, it's like WTF I'm dead, did something hit me?

Yep this happens for sure, but i've found you just need to adjust your play and you should be able to reasonably do better. At the start I was playing like it was BC2 and that got me killed. a lot.

More checking before darting out of cover, more flanking, more crawling along sneaky ways etc. Worked OK for me on my last games, i've played well for my last bunch of games so starting to get the hang of it.

I still think there is some dodgy goings on though, people glitching under ground (me included) where you can kill people without them being able to see you, or be killed in this manner. Also you seem to be able to shoot through solid rock as well, or be shot through solid rock.

Also still think bullet damage is a tad too high in general, can't help but feel this game would be better if guns did about 25% less overall damage.

There are two rocks outside at the first 2 mcoms that can be shot through and spotted through.
Attackers sniper rock, far left, everything on the left of the tree can be shot through. Defenders corner rock before mcom A, everything on the right closest to the corner and some it near the tree where it clips into the ground.

Disagree about weapon damage, if you are daft enough to run across open ground without checking, you should be punished for it, not sprint across all hunky dory because people won't be able to finish you off in the time it takes you to get to the next piece of cover. There's battlefield heroes for that malarkey.

Yes. One guys head was clearly visible to me and a couple of others. We hit where it was showing multiple times, not once did I get a X. I reckon he knew he couldn't be got there as he didn't even make an effort to move and surely must have been suppression?

There is a white block beside the A radar that support classes can sit with a scope bipod combo out and not have to fear snipers as their head is tiny and hard to hit.

Even if you check some of the maps are pretty open so chances are you will be shot at from somewhere. But as I said if you adjust to the game and play more cautiously it's less of a problem, you just can't play this game anything like you play BC2 because it punishes you severely.

I'm not just saying this from a point of view of being killed a lot, I've run around just taking people down far too easily sometimes, and a lot of the people I kill don't even seem to know they've been shot at.

I think a bit less bullet damage in general would add to the game, i'm not saying make people invincible or be able to sprint through a hail of bullets or anything.

I see people often saying that it's realistic for people to fall down dead as soon as they are shot at, and yes that may be true, but the game is about having fun not being realistic. People also seem to be under the impression that in BC2 a clip was needed to kill someone, which also isn't true. Doing less damage per bullet means your aim and reactions are better tested instead of just whoever can spray in the general direction of the enemy the best :P
