****The Official Samsung Galaxy S II Thread***

It no longer bounces when you get the end of a list menu. Should update the Gmail app, improve network performance and Samsung specific the battery should improve a little bit.

Turns out my frequency for my previous quadrant score was actually 1504 not 1400.

Got my extended battery now, feels much better in the hand, marginally heavier and better protection for the camera :)

Just bought the white version from the rainforest. Selling my DHD which i have 16 months left on contract and getting this! Can't wait, does this phone have GPU acceleration? Also can anyone tell me if it is that much better than the DHD?

It has GPU acceleration for the launcher and videos if thats what you mean.

Seems the update I downloaded via Kies was KH2 which from a brief look on XDA is Gingerbread 2.3.3 rather than a big update :(.

Oh and my phone no longer syncs with Kies. :/

Ah you built my hopes up then :(

They're not PS pads.

The ‘console’ this little gem is running on happens to be a Samsung Galaxy S II, with two PS3-esq bluetooth gamepads connected, which as the video’s creator points out, seem to be having no trouble interfacing with the emulator, free from interference and thanks to that 2.4 update, now have full analogue support too.

someone must know of a way to filter spam email messages without using gmail? surely most people who use android use emails how can there not be a massive need for an email spam filter?

You want them filtering before they get to your phone? It needs to be done by your e-mail host then, surely?

Why not just have Gmail poll your POP3/IMAP server? Then it will filter it, and you use a more battery efficient mail app on your phone. The only down side, I don't think you can adjust how often Gmail polls your mail server.

i've got 8 email accounts. can gmail handle them seperastely? i currently use thunderbird on my pc which sorts out the spam and figured there'd be something like this on android. really shocked there isn't tbh as i'd have thought everyone has this problem. i get spam every refresh that the phone does from at least one account/.
