****The Official Samsung Galaxy S II Thread***

Cheers Loltim, I downloaded CM7 but deleted it as I realised I would miss the notibar dragging for brightness and various other tweaks too much. Might give LeoMar's a go...

Ive done a search for this but had no joy, so sorry in advance if its been answered already.

Is there a way to return to your internet home screen without clicking right back to it or opening a new window?

Nope! Use a better browser, Opere Mobile or Boat or Something.

Not sure. I've watched a 1080p film from my phone by plugging it into my samsung TV's usb port, probably not the same thing. It charges the phone too though which is cool.

Via the MHL adapter?

If so then those 2 things will inch me closer to switching to CM7 :p

No just the standard USB data cable. Picture quality was perfect on my 42" samsung, although I'm guessing audio is going to be better via hdmi?

What other tweaks do you use? You can enable battery % too in Interface > status bar tweaks.

Wouldn't you need a DLNA TV to do that?

edit: mis-read, I'm not sure, probably with the MHL adapter?

That would be one hell of a feature. I have just taken apart my HTPC systems due to lack of use.

This would mean no need for powerline, Streamer or a long HDMI cable.

Gonna see what Apples announcement throws up this evening. Hopefully it'll push prices of these down even more.

Anybody heard rumours of a qHD version being released?

Thats what I'm waiting for now. With the iPhone 4s release and the 720p version announced it might be worth hanging on abit more.

Ahh you mean you enabled disk mode when connecting via USB to the TV so the TV played back the media off your internal phone storage/sd card? I can't see it working any other way without the MHL/HDMI adapter.

Audio will be exactly the same as your TV is decoding whatever audio was embedded in the media file you played, if it was AC3 then it would play back AC3 with whatever channels were available. Not all TVs have media playback support though, hence the need for local playback and video output over HDMI.

as far as im aware cm7 is not able to transfer the screen to the TV on the SG2. they have not made many improvements imo for a good 6 weeks!

Got any screenshots of Rom Kitchen? I'm currently on Litening v6.1 but as there's been no updates for over a month I'm itching to change, but not sure what to...

I OBJECT!

:p

For people like myself, who use Google /everything/, Android is the clear winner. I also like to customise :p I still cannot find using an iPhone4 as a daily phone as useful as I do with my Droid purely because the apps and features I use daily are not available for iPhone because Apple do not approve such apps.

Nothing wrong with Apple's system though, it works, yeah, but it doesn't work for me, is all.
