Nexus Prime

Exactly, but I fear you're confusing my point though regarding Honeycomb having HDMI out.

Hence why I said I do hope ICS has it too because then the gap closes even further.

You make a random one line point so what do you expect. Try replying in context then it might make your "point" more clear.

It's not ugly if you've only ever used stock Android ROMs/phones but once you've used a HTC or Samsung or even other brand phones it is very ugly/clunky.

Indeed. The HTC one is a dream in comparison, and the TouchWiz one isn't so bad either.

I don't understand your reasoning for wanting to upgrade. What makes you think the stock nexus rom will be better than a stock sgs2 rom? You'll be onto cm7 when the nexus comes out anyway:p

just want pure android, timely updates and board of romming and rooting, all have bugs and cm7 on the S2 is a long way off, still in nightly beta

The official line is that the hardware is not capable... but since it's essentially a curvy SGS with NFC and some other gubbins, I don't see why it can't...

[edit] "Swetland himself posted it was a soc clock rate limitation when supercurio asked. There is continued speculation that it could be possible, but it lacks the external image processing component that the sgs requires to do 720p."

I do not know who Swetland is :p

they both used the Hummingbird chipset - i.e. identical hardware - Very strange - but its old news now so I guess no one really cares. The nexus s wasnt really a great seller.

Not a great seller, but then it was never going to be, going up against iP4 and similarly specced phones that had been around for several months.

I probably shouldn't have splashed on it at launch, but having a GED has been good... I'm hoping that with Prime, the phone will have both great hardware and software vs. it's peers.

Curvy screens are epic win by the way - I like how the Prime has even more curve!!
