****The Official Samsung Galaxy S II Thread***

Yeah but on top of that, playing emulators/games on the HDTV with a wiimote or six axis controller, being able to browse my LAN directly from a file manager app, manage files to and from the phone with other computers on the LAN, turn my phone into an FTP server, turn my phone into a managed access point and so on. Controlling how the web browser is seen by websites, using different keyboards and so on and so forth.

Also here's the battery life on Modaco's GR5 ROM with the extended battery. This is the first full charge I have given it since Friday and I have used it for virtually everything. Modaco ROMs also suck more juice than any other ROM, I notice the Android OS bug is not fixed in GR5 regardless of what kernel I use.

I will try another ROM soon enough but so far I have gotten better battery life even on this ROM than with the stock battery given how I use the phone. Will be very interested in seeing how it fares then.

Ignore the little charge at the bottom, that was last night when I plugged it into the PC to run the Monday evening backup, USB doesn't charge it very fast anyway so would not skew the above results at all.

Your first pic with the graph, the bottom part is almost identical to what my phone showed last night, though my top graph did not have such a steep drop... after 1d 15h, with 2 hours CPU/Screen on, I had my wifi and bluetooth on the whole time, and I still had 30%+ battery left when I put it on charge before bed, and that was with a Stock battery!!!

There are no ROM's that allow you to do that. AOSP bluetooth stack is needed for PS3/Wiimote, Samsung based ROM is needed for HDMI.

You can connect phonejoy (ps3 pad clone) & some other supported pads over bluetooth using BluezIME and up to 4 controllers are supported on the latest n64oid update. That does exactly that^

I don't have a PS3 but people have commented on the Droid articles about saying they got the PS3 pad working too.

I just want the PS3 pad working because I already own one :D, cba buying a new controller :p.

Any links mrk? I wouldn't mind giving it a try if true, although I'm guessing they're either lying or using CM7 :p.

Yeah, but the video shows the clone controllers. The comment about the SixAxis is just some dude saying he likes the app and uses the PS3 controller, he doesn't mention TV out or what ROM he's using.

*n00b question alert*

I'm running Litening 6.1 but fancy changing to Batista ROM - when I flashed Litening via Odin it roots the phone + includes CWM. I presume to install Batista I just download it, put it on the SD card and then boot into CWM and flash?

The confusing part (for me) is that in the Batista features list it says it includes CWM 4.0.1.5 - how does it include CWM when you need CWM already on the phone to install the ROM? If I have a slightly older version of CWM will it update it to 4.0.1.5?

Exactly how you've said it :)

Your phone is now rooted & CWM included from Litening rom.

Stick Batista rom on the SD, boot into CWM (reboot phone & hold vol up/home/power together). wipe cache & wipe davilk (under advanced in CWM)

Install from ZIP & then choose zip from sd. CWM will update if it is an older version.

Make a back up too in CWM incase anything does go wrong (I can't stress this enough!)

Cheers! Think I was just looking for complications where there weren't any :p

I just updated to 2.3.4 KI4 with Kies.

I thought latest was 2.3.5?

Anyway Im struggling to find stuff I want on XDA, I dont know how anyone is finding anything there.

All I want is for a battery mod for the status bar battery icon to look like the default icon but have the percentage number on it. Anyone able to help me out, xda search is literally the most annoying thing I have had to use on the net for a long time, that anti-spam bot captcha is absolutely ridiculous!

You need to install a de-odexed ROM to change the icons in the noti bar, many ROMs have theme addons or kitchens/downloads for flashable themes. I use LeoMar's ROM which has a kitchen App, you can flash Gingerbread's framework which gives battery precent + icons and so on. Modaco ROM also has the icon out of the box as per my screenhot posted earlier.

Also, extended battery update.
Been running LeoMar's for 2 days or so now and battery life is...well see for yourself compared to Modaco GR5 I posted before:
