Today I saw twice, enemy jets crashing into each other while trying to take down opposing jets in action!!:eek::p

I agree that your jet is seriously at a disadvantage if enemy jet has heat seeking missiles. I believe I got hit by one or two and had no choice but to bail out. :(

use airbrakes for tight turns and if you get a lock on from a stinger/heatseeker then just go crazy doing dives / turns / rolls till you shake it off.

most important thing to remember and this applys to all vehicles, if your health gets close to 0 then bail out asap, if it reaches 0 you will not be able to eject or get out of vehicles. if your health goes below 50 you need to land and repair or you will burn to death, i have also been in a tank that had 55% health but was on fire so health started draining away so just be aware that not only enemies can kill you but also your own vehicles ;)

i'm not that bad in them and i use mouse and keyboard, just cant get the hang of joysticks for flying strangely enough :/

yeah as long as jet health stays above 50%, then it can auto repair after a while :p

One thing I find seriously annoying is trying to keep up with enemy jet in the focus by having to repeatedly moving mouse up and down:mad:

I definitely think it would be much easier with joystick for movement fluidity

Edit: Btw how do you apply airbrakes? Do you just hold down S while making a turn?

As for jet trying to get away from stinger/heatseekers lock, it is too slow :p

I use my xbox pad for jets, but only because my joystick can't be binded to the controls for some reason. Either way its much better than mouse for flying. I still use mouse for helis though
 
i get graphics problems with caspian border anyone know what could be causing this or does anyone have the same issue? metro plays fine

the AAs will have missile systems after some unlocking too.

Ive shot down plenty of choppers and a few jets in the LAV one but the russian one altho identicle feels crappier
 
Think ive found something i hate about bf3. Stood there for like 10mins waiting to get in a jet, then some nob just instantly spawns in it. wtf is that about ?!

You can spawn straight into the jet ;)

I have experienced both sides. Sometimes I try to get in the jet but guy just respawns into it and viceversa
