****The Official Samsung Galaxy S II Thread***

No, not like that post, separate from the image saying 'I have this issue, look'. I mean like the post where the guy says, 'I have this issue, look' with no reference to the issue or even any earlier post.

like i said it was two posts before the one you quoted. simple mistake on your part but dont get shirty ;)

Ahh, yes, but not the post I complained/commented on about it not having the issue mentioned in, which is what I apparently got 'shirty' about, which you then got 'sarcy' about :p Anyway, this is rather a waste of everyone's time.

No fc on camera? Did you do a wipe/fresh install?

Yeah you need to if you are changing ROMs:

First time flashing CyanogenMod 7 to the Samsung Galaxy S II, or coming from another ROM?
Root the device and install ClockworkMod Recovery. Instructions are available here.
Perform a NANDroid backup of your current ROM.
Format the system, data & cache partitions of your device.
Perform a factory reset.
Flash CyanogenMod.
Optional: Install the Google Apps addon package.

I've installed CM7 now and everything seems to be working inc camcorder. I like the less aggressive autofocus too even though the app has less options (such as no ISO, customisable shortcuts etc). I can live with that I guess.... 720p capture seems high in video quality as well.

One thing I noticed right away is how smooth the new Market is on Cm7 compared to non AOSP ROMs, there is no delay whatsoever, there was a very faint hint of pausing between transitions in the Market on all other ROMs I have used but none here at all. I will reconfigure all my apps and things and monitor battery usage over the next few days. I managed 2 days with the extended battery with regular usage now and I feel 1.5-2 days is going to be my running benchmark so let's see.

I have kept the KI3 modem as that works well for me too.

So far I am impressed.

I will miss the Samsung Dive service but if I do go toward the Nexus Prime then I will not be able to use that service anyway so might as well get used to not having it I guess.

EDIT*

Back to LeoMar 2.7.1....
While CM7 was good it had a few bugs I could not have. Autobrightness didn't work all the time. Brightness change via sliding notification bar was not working either.

I'm selling my iphone 4 on the bay to buy an S2, Rather than wait for the cash to be transferred from paypal to my bank account can anyone recommend an online store that accepts paypal and sells the S2 for around £400-£450?

its the only rom i found where the new market runs properly, i seem to get lag or wait for it to load/search.

I'm not really a fan of the auto brightness option anyway, they reckon you get better battery setting yourself. I use this app which iis a really good way to up your % at a touch.
