Who here owns a Renaultsport?

Maybe different in the flesh but I just don't like them.

yeah, don't think there are even any for sale in scotland.
I know with my budget I shouldn't limit the colour, but you know....

And truthfully I found the forum overpriced, it's like they feel somehow they're now obliged to overprice their cars.

You get what you pay for, which if from cs.net, would be a well maintained and cared for example with all relevant work done.

I would rather buy my car from an enthusiast forum and know that the previous owner/owners has given a toss about it and taken it to specialists etc etc than buy it off gumtree or ebay when it could well end up being more trouble than it's worth. It also gives you a chance to see if the owner has posted about any problems they've had with the car recently that they might be trying to hide.

Totally wanting to crank up my car hunt but due to budget really looking online till the correct ones come in on budget is the best I can do. But there is this one:
http://pistonheads.com/sales/3309599.htm

So looking to send off an email of enquirey, but with my past luck and not doing enough of this wondering what I should be asking.
Got a list:
1) define "minor faults"
2) Any more modifications apart from the 182 wheels.(i want a close to standard as possible)
3) When were the belts changes?
4) when is the tax till
5) how many previous owners?

But part of me feels this is an awful lot to question in first email. Obviously will write it better and not just a list but anything I should also be asking?
no xenons and all 172s had them apart from cups, which only come in silver or blue, so on that, I'd leave it.

The best thing you can do to make Iceberg Silver look awesome, is clean it and park it next to a Titanium Silver Clio. In isolation is just looks silver, but next to a Titanium the deeper blue tinge shows through really well.

In general forums always have an inflated view of the value of their cars. In the same way that "woman owner" does not mean a car has been well cared for, being owned by a forum member doesn't mean a car must be in good condition; just the opposite in many cases.

Haha, it took me long enough to find these.

I think it's the fact the car 'sounds' a bit rough at the moment, and the handling is a bit iffy as well. I think I need my wheel alignment done again. The exhaust is also wonky now and it's annoying me :(

I hate to break it to you SS, but I don't think a modified S2000 is going to run for years and years without having niggling things go wrong or need doing on it too.

No doubt you will find some heaps on club forums however if you're willing to pay a small premium you can get yourself a very tidy example. What I meant to say was they're not all 'immaculate' but quite often you find users need quick sales and will even advertise at slightly less on their club forum than else where (I have seen this on CS.net myself).

It really is the best thing you can do, because then it makes Titanium Silver look even better :p
